felix gave them WHIPLASH. angel's roommates were fed up with hearing about the blue eyed blond at this point and kept warning them to stay away. but angel couldn't help it. it was literally impossible for them to stay away. a tired sigh emitted from their lips at the sight of their lover. looked like the pair of them hadn't been sleeping very well since the event. "hey." normally felix's smile elicited on of angel's but this time it didn't. another sigh as they pushed open the door and made room for felix. though before felix could come in, angel covered the doorway with their arm, brown orbs meeting the other's, "first of all...did you get the spicy shrimp fried rice?
closed starter -- @angeldelgadc
with a bag of takeout from noodle garden in his hands and a head full of conflicting thoughts, felix knocked on angel's door. ' you should just leave ' kept rattling around in his mind. ' they don't want to see you.' and they nearly almost did turn around until the door opened in front of them. " um.. hi, " they said softly, an awkward, sheepish half smile pulling at the corners of his lips. " i brought dinner. to make up for bein' a dick. "

THE CHARACTER.
FULL NAME: Angel Delgado
GENDER: Non-binary
PRONOUNS: He/They
AGE + BIRTHDAY: 30 + September 4th
LENGTH OF TIME IN FAIRFORD: On and off for his entire life
HOUSING: Downtown
OCCUPATION: Dance Instructor/Stripper
THE INTERVIEW.
If you could recommend one hidden gem around town everyone should try, what is it? What makes it so special?
“i might be biased by the dance studio.” they said, a warm smile flashing onto their features the way it always did when they thought about it, dimples engraving into their cheeks. “the talent of the dancers that walk through those doors is unbelievable. these kids, they work so hard and they’re so fucking good. a lot of them are going to go far.” once upon a time they were that dancer, the prodigy that everyone doted upon. the dancer who got away but then fucked up their dreams all due to a drunken night. “yeah. it’s magic. the kids are magic.”
What’s your family like? Are you still close, or have you blocked all their numbers?
“ah. now that’s…tricky.” they took a sharp inhale in, running a hand through curls that rested atop of their head, “i talk to my little sister but that’s about it. my family is very religious. they were never really supportive of my dancing career but they…tolerated it.” a soft, unamused chuckle escaped from their lips, giving a tilt of his head, “however my queerness was a dealbreaker for them. it’s sort of wild, growing up in a household that preaches love and the importance of family. but then they’re so quick to be hypocritical and kick you out just for existing. and being.” they give a wave of their hand, “but i have found family. they’re way more important to me than my birth family.”
Do you have any regrets? What are they?
their biggest regret was the night of their accident. but angel didn’t talk about it. he couldn’t talk about it. the night his entire career and life was ruined in the blink of an eye. “regrets are a waste of time and energy.” angel said simply, chewing on their bottom lip before flashing brown orbs to the other, “doesn’t mean i don’t have em though. i just…try not to. i wish i didn’t.” a pause, “one of my biggest regrets is letting the love of my life slip between my fingers, i fucked that up. big time. i let them go. and to this day i still think about them all the time.”
THE PERSONALITY.
— + alluring, charming, outgoing — - self-destructive, insecure, anxious
ANGEL IS PORTRAYED BY TOMMY MARTINEZ, AND WRITTEN BY ROYAL.

angel knew all the mannon's. they were FAMILY. even though him and felix weren't together anymore, angel would do anything for any of the mannon's. including attending any of the shows of harlow's that they could get to. they were beaming, flowers in hand before giving them her way, "absolutely spectacular." they gushed, shaking their head in amazement, "you crushed it, as you usually do." though angel couldn't always keep up with her, that was for certain. they felt like an old man when compared to harlow, much preferring quiet nights these days, "ah...i don't know, harlow." and knowing that once they got drinking, angel just gushed about felix nonstop and he was trying to be better. "one drink!"
location: the daring daiquiri @fairfordstarters opened to: anyone, pls come to me
"Are you fucking kidding me? Flowers?! You're too fucking much - come here, right now. You have no choice. Gimme a hug." The fiery lounge singer exclaimed, moving forward to kiss and hug the person who had just gotten her flowers after her performance at the Daring Daiquiri. For Harlow, it was something she dearly loved - singing, up on stage, where the light gleamed on her and the entire stage felt like her domain. So much of her life, her childhood felt like Harlow had her own stage, but to get up, to actually perform and have people adore her the way they did - it made her flames burn even brighter.
"Do you want a drink? Let's do shots - let's start with shots and see how it all goes. You know me, I don't stop at just shots." Harlow winked, scrunching her face. "All on me - everything on me! Let's go, bartender, show me what you're made of! Fucking A!"

"cinnamon rolls." their face was quick to twist into disgust, nose crinkling, "you know. the one's that do the whole popping thing. i don't trust that shit. though your fear with birds is pretty valid."
open starter @fairfordstarters location: thadd and tyson's apartment (thalloween)
"Okay, since we're already microdosing the Halloween spirit out here, what's your most irrational fear? I'll go first -- I don't trust birds."

though angel knew the moment was going to eventually come where this would come to an end, they weren't anticipating that it'd be so abrupt. it takes a moment for their eyes to falter open, lips still bruised from the kisses, breathing still heavy and for a moment, angel's still able to imagine that felix is still against him. that they're still interwined. for the world seemed to be okay whenever they were embraced.
lids finally flood open and now their lip is quivering for a different reason. how quickly emotions could change. from love, to lust, to loss. "fuck you." they spit out, only because they're hurt and not sure how much longer they can keep doing this. "jesus. what do you want from me, felix? huh? either you love me or you don't. either you wanna be with me or you don't." hands go to wipe at the eyes which seemed to be leaking now, "which you don't so why don't you just stay away from me."
this was dumb ! this was so dumb as much as felix attempted to lose himself in the moment, there was a nagging reminder in the back of his head about how FOOLISH this was. he was fucking everything up, yet again. he was sending mixed signals, giving in to what he wanted without caring about the damage he would leave in his path.
he finally broke away from angel, taking a few steps backwards as if to assess what the fuck he just did. he kept shaking his head, angry at himself for doing something so stupid. " i - i shouldn't have done that.." it didn't matter how badly felix wanted this, it would only make things more complicated.

a grin cracked onto their features, nose crinkling as they playfully poked tyson's shoulder, "sounds like you might be shitty at bumper cars. let me know if you need a little 101. i'm a pro." angel was merely playing around before chuckling, all too aware of the looks of horror coming from aforementioned soccer moms, "exactly! their little angels are PERFECTLY aware of the war they're entering. i like that. all's far in bumper cars and war."
"It's therapeutic getting whacked into by eight year old's who played too much G-T-A?" Tyson asked, silent for a moment before he nodded his head in sincere agreement.
"Respect. They do rule. Nothing funnier than when a soccer mom thinks you won't get vengeance on their precious baby but all's fair in bumper cars and war."

they merely shook their head in response to the negativity, "i....love....you. i...love...the...me...you bring...out..." which was true. felix brought out the best version of angel and made them a better human. though they weren't in the mood to argue and they got the sense that felix wasn't either, merely losing themselves in the arms of their lover, in complete and utter bliss. angel hoped this wasn't a dream. that this was actually happening.
a gasp escaped from parted lips, eyes fluttering close as felix worked their neck, "please don't stop." angel whimpered, tightening their grip on the other and unable to help the way their jeans felt tighter. hands tightened within the mop of curls atop of felix's head, giving a gentle but firm tug.
" you... should. you... can do... so much.. better. i'm.. dead weight.. " they mumbled in between kisses, their resolve slowly wearing down more and more with each kiss that the two shared. angel was the love of felix's life, there was no doubt about that. but they always let them down, they always ruined things. and angel deserved more than that, they deserved more than felix could give. felix loved them so much they wanted that for them no matter how much it tore them up to not be theirs.
" we... should ... stop.. " he breathed into the other, slowly moving to trail kisses across angel's jaw. " this... is... bad ... idea .." they murmured against their skin.

"i AM listening to you. i just don't agree with you." and maybe it was a bit too forward to believe that felix still loved them even though they hadn't said it. angel knew that this was dumb. that the moment they told tori or bennie or any of his friends back at the apartment that they'd chew his ear off, knowing it would just lead to heartbreak. but angel didn't care about any of that right now. he couldn't focus on anything with the feeling of felix on him, the taste of them was intoxicating. the softest of moans escapes into felix's mouth with the feeling of the other's hand within their curls and nothing else mattered. in that moment nothing else mattered.
" why won't you listen to me ? " he groans as he lets himself fall back against the back of one of the food trucks. this was dumb. this was so dumb. as if things weren't complicated enough and felix now did this ? what the fuck was he thinking ? well, he wasn't. and he still wasn't as he continued to kiss angel back, needily holding onto them, their one hand tugging softly at their curls, the other moving to wrap around their waist.

the last thing they were expecting was to suddenly feel felix's lips against their own, completely taken aback and before they even have time to react or fucking kiss back, felix is pulling away. it causes a pout to prey onto angel's lips, "no. you're fucking NOT." angel growled back, this time they're backing felix up so that their back is now pressed up against the back of a food truck, capturing their lips within their own once again, matching the fiery desire. angel didn't dare to hold back. for all he knew, it'd be the last time they go to do this and he'd have to take advantage. fuck. he missed this. the way their bodies automatically meshed together, the feeling of their lover's hands tangling within his curls. one hand falls to felix's hip, the other snakes to grip the back of felix's neck.
felix nodded. he understood. " we always will be, ange. you always have us. " which was the truth. regardless of felix and angel's relationship status, they were family. and the mannon pack stuck together. he raised his shoulders in a half shrug. " eh. i try to stay away. not good for my mental health... "
their eyes fell shut for a moment while angel played with their hair, the gesture a calming and familiar one. " well at least i have that going for me. the only opinion that matters, really. "
cerulean orbs met warm ones as angel held his face and spoke directly to him, telling him that he was loved, that he wanted to be with him. and despite everything inside of him telling felix otherwise, they did something they knew they shouldn't have. their lips crashed against the other's, their hands going up to tangle in angel's curls. " i'm ... bad ... for .. you, " felix breathlessly growled against the other's lips once they parted for a moment, his voice low and dripping with desire. well ... at least angel's date would find this all very believable. this was dumb. dumb !!! they were only making a fucking mess of things.

they merely gave a soft shrug of their shoulders, eyes meeting felix's, "it's true though." his own family wanted nothing to do with him and while deep down, they knew it was because of their fucked up views and that it had nothing to do with them, it still stung. angel found themselves nostalgic for childhood all of the time and while he preferred his found family who accepted and loved them no matter what, he missed his parents, his siblings, his grandma. it was precisely why he gravitated toward felix's big family and why he was so drawn to one day having their own, "i know. they're more my family than my family ever was. so are you and your siblings." which reminded them, "have you seen your parents lately? they still hanging around?"
angel could tell that the compliments were hard for felix. they always had a hard time taking them so instead, they allowed their fingers to absentmindedly play with blonde curls, soothing and playing as he hummed out a, "you're welcome." now it's angel's turn to smirk, eyeing up the other suggestively, "babe. you never have to worry about whether or not i think you're hot."
it didn't make sense. none of this made sense. they WORKED together. it was the only thing that fucking worked so effortlessly for angel. and if they wanted to be them, why couldn't they just be together. "i don't know WHAT you want." he didn't talk to angel, he didn't tell him and instead angel's own insecurity and anxiety had to fill in the blanks. they take a step forward, cupping the other's cheeks within his hands, "fuck that, fee. you're the best thing that's ever happened to me. you're good for me. no one's loved me like you love me. so you have shit? big whoop. i have shit too. we deal with the shit together." tears were now very apparent in brown orbs but they didn't break the gaze, "i love you. just let me fucking love you. stop...pushing me away. we're GOOD together."
felix's gaze softened with the bitter words that left angel. " hey ... ange... don't say that... " family was a tough subject for the both of them. they both in their own way knew how it felt to not have a parent's love in their life and what they lacked in the parental sense, they made up with each other. there were many times where felix had given serious thought to their future with angel: a big family... one where they could give all the love to their children that he never got as a child. " blood doesn't make a family. fuck those guys. your friends are your family. they are lucky to have you. "
they opened their mouth to respond, to insist that they were in fact poison, that thy were a storm cloud and angel was nothing but the sun. and felix wouldn't and couldn't allow himself to cloud their sunshine any longer. but in reality they didn't say anything, no words leaving them. " thank you for saying that... " felix said gently, appreciating the way that angel saw him in a way that he couldn't see himself. " and i'm glad you still think i'm hot. that's what's most important here, clearly," they teased, their smile reaching their eyes and causing the corners of their eyes to crinkle ever so slightly.
when angel's hand left felix's arm, a frown tugged down the corner of their lips. of course they could catch on right away to the shift in the other, the way that angel looked as though they were going to cry which, of course, would absolutely break felix. " hey.. angel.. " they said softly, trying to get the other to look at him once again. " fuck - i - you know i want that too. i just.. no. no that can't.. we can't. i'm not good for you angel. i have too much.. shit. always. i just.. i bring you down, okay ? and i won't do that. so just.. no. " his words were scattered, half thoughts just leaving his lips in some attempt to clarify and justify to not only angel but himself as to why he was walking away from what he wanted more than anything.

and they're giggling alongside her, nose crinkling in the process, "i wouldn't be surprised if there was a beard competition. if not, there should be. that'd be a HIT for a reality tv show." angel joked but honestly they were so fucking grateful for tori and they'd do absolutely anything for her. she'd saved them on multiple occasions and she was truly their family. "oh nooo! the rollercoaster. okay. no. i can do it. you know i'm a fucking baby." probably why she suggested it. knowing that angel would have a priceless reaction while on the rollercoaster. "we'll always be the cutest couple. fake or pretend." they teased, placing a kiss again onto the side of her head. "um. i...ran into felix. and. also convinced them to be my fake boyfriend." tori was all too aware of the tumultuous relationship angel and felix had. and how much angel was still head over heels for them. "and it was amazing. and way too hard all at the same time."
a giggle escaped her at the memories that came flooding back to her at the mention, nose scrunching a little as she grinned up at angel. "oh we're pros by now, darling. if there was a competition for this sort of thing? i'm confident we'd be the ranking champions." she playfully joked, but there was some genuine truth to the words. "i'm thinking...that wicked looking rollercoaster. and oh gosh, how could i forget? we were the cutest kids but i swear i almost lost my shoe over the side of the ferris wheel basket." she laughed, their history was nothing if not filled with unforgettable moments like that one. all over the board, but unforgettable nonetheless. "so c'mon babes, tell me what you've been up to? besides recruiting me to escape a creep."

"yeah. magnet for friends, repellent for family." it came out quickly and filled with more bitterness then they intended. after the accident and their entire life being ruined, they though they'd at least hear from their family but nothing. they knew. they just didn't care. because as long as angel was queer, they didn't give a shit about them. "you're not a storm cloud. you just. you don't trust people. you push them away because you think you're poison or some shit." which they weren't. god, felix was so fixated on the negatives they didn't even see how much good and love just exuded from them. "anyone would be lucky to have you as a friend. you're kind, you're loving, you're fun and you're hot." he cracked a dimpled grin at the last part, "which is just an added bonus."
an exasperated sigh escaped from them, shaking their head, "yeah fine. i was just saying that whenever you....find someone else or whatever. i'll be okay. so don't let me hold you back." and they let their hands fall from felix and instead found their way snacking through their curls.
felix was right when angel approached them. this was a bad idea. for both of them. they clearly had shit they needed to work out and angel still had unresolved feelings for felix. "promise, i won't ever say it again." they finally lifted their head up, brown orbs looking into the other's, "this is fucking hard. i know, it's my fault. i asked you to do this. but pretending to be your boyfriend is." they let out a laugh, finally dropping their hand from felix's and damn. he'd been so good with keeping his shit together. and now, he felt the familiar stinging in his eyes, tears welling up. "you know i don't want to pretend. i want. i want to be your fucking boyfriend. your partner." he rubbed at his eyes, "maybe. fuck. maybe dinner is not...the best idea." and it killed him to say that. all they wanted was to spend the night with felix but they also knew this wasn't a good idea. angel felt himself falling even harder with every smile, every interaction and they'd been doing a good job of getting themselves out from the heartbreak.
" hmm.. easy for you to say. you're like... a magnet for friends. everyone wants to be around you. i feel like i'm a .. storm cloud or some shit. chases 'em all away." he paused, realizing how vulnerable he was being for a moment, something that seemingly came so very easy with angel that he hardly realized his words until he spoke them. he cleared his throat awkwardly before quickly changing the subject in true felix fashion. " how is the apartment anyways ? speaking of friends. everyone there good ? uh.. let me know if you need any repairs or anything. that sink isn't leakin' anymore is it ? " there was endless amounts of history between them it seemed, and it only became more and more obvious the longer they spoke.
they let out a small sigh, a breath they had not realized they had been holding. " i don't want to talk about this, angel. can we just... drop it ? " he didn't want to think about moving on and coming to terms with it. because felix just... wasn't. angel was the person he was supposed to be with. and he fucked that up. there was no one else. he wasn't going to hold angel back any longer with his inability to get his shit together.
felix scrunched their face at the analogy. " yeah.. i hated that. don't say that ever again," they teased. with angel's question, a soft sigh left him. " i don't fuckin' know, angel..." he admitted. because seriously, what the fuck where they doing ?

bennie was always so nice to be around. she was a breath of fresh air. literally and angel was always grateful to be in her presence. "oh, i will. i will totally pardon you." they teased, playfully bumping their shoulder into theirs, "this place is kind of a prime opportunity for her. she should try to set up a tent next time. be more official." at the thought of being fish, they merely just nodded and stared out into the ocean, "suppose everything is easier. i doubt fish have to deal with heartbreak. but then again, fish miss out on a lot of amazing things too."
Bennie leans into Angel as they saddle up beside her, and laughing at their comment, “Well pardon me for the fact that I like to breathe air and not recycled carbon dioxide after a while,” she teases with a playful levity. “I am yeah, it’s been great. Great music, catching up on the happenings of town. Trying to keep my mom from soliciting to the festival goers.” Bennie laughs in a way that’s a bit hollow, but genuine as her feet kick languidly in the water, careful not to cause a splash. “I wish I was a fish,” she sighed with a far off look in her eyes, fixated on the lapping water against her feet. “Y’know like. As long as you’re smart enough not to get caught by a stupid fisherman, I think you’re pretty set for an easy life.”
