I am genuinely unwell; I just realised that in the books, after some time of Daniel becoming a vampire, he gets mad, and Marius takes care of him, and he doesn’t get to see Armand who also tries to kill himself 😭 after 500 years making a fledgling because he loves him too much to let him go but it goes wrong in so many ways. I NEED TO DIE! Amongst all the vampires, I find both Daniel and human Daniel the most interesting!

In the books, Armand gives Daniel a necklace that contains his blood and tells Daniel that it will make the other vampires stay away from him, JUST WITH THE SENSE OF HIS BLOOD!!! So we really get a glimpse of how powerful Armand really is.

What is so good about this show is that there is no apparent villain you can pinpoint and hate (I hate Santiago) but everyone is guilty of something and everyone has something to hide (even Daniel, whether he knows it or not). Sure, we might think Armand wanted Claudia dead, but we have to take account that Louis was no better. He even said earlier, "Imagine me without her burden," almost like wishing she was dead. The only non-toxic relationship we've seen on the show so far is between Claudia and Madaline!
