Reposting content

While tiktok is saved for now it was definitely frightening. I want to thank everyone who has followed me over here. I wanted to give some disclosure that I will be reposting old content from there and directing you all to my new content as well. I hope that doesn't feel weird since I've always viewed tumblr as a community place different than other social media. I don't want this become essentially a linktree for me but I do want more eyes on my stuff since that is part of me. I hope everyone understands.

Big Love and Chloe Sevigny

Not enough people talk about how good this show is. If you have HBO I suggest watching. It's amazing. Chloe Sevigny playing this extremely repressed and uptight Mormon sister is masterful work.

One subtle way that Xena got around the studio censors was to have Xena and Gabrielle always sleep side by side, with zero personal space, rather than on opposite sides of the campfire.

Even when they'd get to sleep in a bed, they'd always share it.

They might not have been able to come out and say it, but the show made it clear that these two slept like an old married couple, and on rare occasions, when studio heads weren't looking, they even got to cuddle.

On the Neil Gaiman Vulture Article

I want to begin with a content warning since the article and my comments will discuss sexual assault. Please read with caution if you can.

Neil Gaiman is a fucking freak. I was never into his stuff and I'm not saying that as a "I always knew he was weird type of way" but in a way that I don't have any emotional connection to his work and am coming in this very unbiased. We need to end the male feminist schtick because that's all it is. It has become a veneer for predatory men to use to manufacture consent from their victims and prime everyone else to believe them when things like this come to light. "No he couldn't do that he's a feminist, and he believes in LGBTQ+ rights," yes he could and he did.

Let's get into the Amanda Palmer. Again I am largely unfamiliar with her and her work. Is it wrong to strike up Maxwell comparisons? Since that's exactly what it seemed like. Her lack of empathy for the women she set in his path was sickening to read but the fact that she learned he had their son in the room for two events and she was not immediately outraged is sickening.

I'm currently working on a podcast episode about the Justin Baldoni stuff but I think I'll incorporate this into since it relates to the whole predatory male feminist thing. I don't know I feel utterly disgusted.
