Do you want to see something that is both 100% ridiculous and yet somehow 100% badass? Of course you do.
XPogo. That's right. Badass pogo sticking. "Hey man, where'd you get that gnarly scar?" "From my pogo stick." "Like when you were ten, man?" "No, when I was working on landing my back tuck full twist with a footpeg grab jumping down a flight of concrete stairs last year."

Yodeling. Wait wait! Come back! Yodeling is really cool!
It's a style of singing where the performer oscillates very fast between the low-register "chest voice" and falsetto. This way, they create sounds purely with their voice that sound like computer generated or autotuned notes.
This is a video of Franzl Lang. There are other videos of him doing much more stunning and spectacular vocal acrobatics, but they all seem to be dubbed or studio-recorded. Here is the master yodeler live. I love his facial expressions!
Impressive, no?

Not only is this a perfect 10 for gymnast Lloimincia Hall of LSU, but it's the third she's gotten in her career. At a competition after this, she got another one.
Such incredible energy, movement, dance and unbelievable gymnastic skill. Truly an amazing human performance.

Lindzee Poi doing some incredible ring manipulation. Simple, just wonderful manipulation and a well matched song.
Iso hoop has been around for a while now, and just recently with this video has it gotten much traction outside of the juggling community. I'm always curious about what makes one video of incredible performance go "viral" and not another.
That being said, it's a beautiful piece of juggling/object manipulation. Watch it, and if you've never seen iso hoop before, prepare for a serious WOW moment!

Pole dancer Anastasia Sokolova on Ukraine's Got Talent.
Love these "Got Talent" programs for showing off some off-beat skills, giving a little life to variety arts...hate most of them for basically being singing competitions in the end. Non english speaking versions tend to be different, I've noticed.

Beautiful ring and object manipulation on Le Plus Grande Cabaret du Monde. You've all seen optical illusions in books...have you ever seen one performed live?

I think if you looked up "Amazing Human" in an encyclopedia, you'd see a picture of Gene Kelley. Here he is with Cyd Charisse. Rrrrowl!

Who was the person to think, "I like trampolining, I would like to make a trampoline that's only 2" thick."
I would like to shake his/her hand.

This is what this blog is all about. Hardcore insane training leads to amazing, impossible skills. Pfft. Showoff.
And of course, all set to obnoxious eurotrash electronic music. You love it though.

The caption on YouTube for this one is "The boundaries dividing sport and art are blurred in this collaboration between Red Bull and Snap! Orlando."
But my favorite comment is from Austin Szabelak, "There is no such thing as mixing art and sports. Sport is Art."
Hard to disagree.

Possibly inspired by the competition in the last video, pomparkour...ladder sport. Used as a viral video to market "V" an energy drink I've never heard of (The Marketing Worked!)

Czech Firefighter Olympics. It's like running the 500 meter dash with a ladder and climbing over houses and pulling firehoses (heavy) and in general being awesome. I love the competitions people come up with.

XMA Martial Arts Tricking filmed at 400fps at beautiful locations. If they did this stuff with CGI you'd never believe it.
