Noor's family of five once had a beautiful home, but it was destroyed by bombs and war. Because of constant displacement, she and her family have little left. Her children have few clothes and are sick! They live in a tent. Food is getting more expensive. Winter is on the horizon. They need your help!

Her daughter Rajaa was infected with hepatitis from malnutrition, her eldest son Hussein can no longer go to school, and her baby boy Youssef needs milk, diapers, and clean drinking water. Her husband, Ashraf suffered from a shoulder injury at the beginning of the war, and has lost his job because the place where he worked was destroyed—he worked as a math teacher at a school.

Noor's donation campaign is a testament to her strength and resilience. She struggles to communicate with me because of internet issues in Gaza, but has nonetheless conveyed this message, which I will now share with you:

"We will continue to live, continue to love, and continue to dream of a better tomorrow."

She loves her children, and thanks everyone who helps her. Please, she has raised only 24,270 / 40,000. I personally am so grateful to all who donated, but I will admit I am deeply saddened how much things have slowed. Like Noor, though, I believe in hope. it fucking infuriates me that the most some of you have done for palestine is share a stupid AI generated image way back in may! only to forget about it almost immediately. since then, entire families have been wiped out, children have been mercilessly killed, more refugee camps and hospitals have been destroyed. all while you were looking the other way, pretending like nothing is happening.

and while people remain silent, tumblr continues to censor palestinian voices. to censor a victim of an active genocide is just so fucking disgusting and inhumane. my friend alaa [ @alaa-992 ] has had five different accounts shadowbanned. her latest account was shadowbanned very recently.

alaa has two little children and she just wants to keep them safe and healthy. the area she is taking shelter in has been bombed SO MANY TIMES. she tells me that the children often wake up to the sounds of warplanes flying nearby.

The fact that we, Arabic-speaking average people(aka non-journalists), have to keep up with translating Palestinian posts from Arabic to English to avoid having Western Media/Pro-Zionists mistranslate on purpose, says enough about how we all lost trust in the media. From the "there's a list" guy who was standing in front of a calendar and condemning the days of the week, to the BBC's mistranslation of a freed Palestinian hostage's interview. I will try my best to keep translating whatever I can find, and I encourage my fellow bilingual/multilingual Arabs to do the same. It's already sad enough that Palestinian journalists and even children have to use English in videos instead of their native tongue in order to get the world leaders' attention.

Usually, I have daydreams that I can't get out of my head no matter what, so I end up writing them down and kinda obsess over making it presentable for a while. That also means a lot changes throughout writing it! So, sadly, snippets might not be of worth here?

And yeah, I totally agree with 'quality>quantity' but I do feel bad for taking so long to come up, write, and edit. I SWEAR I'M WORKING ON MY NEXT ONE! Chapter 1 is done for now and I'll be going back to edit and touch it up. Chapter two is in the works and hopefully I can get this out a little faster than chapter 1?
