That one doodle you did of them for the 12/12 achievement got me right in the feels.

And tbh, I see lots of fics and fanart of airplane taking care of MBJs kingdom, but almost none of the opposite? So I think Mobei should take care of SQHs kids, you know, as a treat.

Tragedy struck! An Ding's littlest disciple has gone missing!

Mobei-jun was just gonna bring her back right away, but then he got stuck having to deal with his shitty uncle, also the child looks cold, he can't bring her back to Qinghua cold! Also she's hungry (what can he safely feed a human child??) and she seems to really like the ice sculptures around the castle (she started crying when he tried to take her away) and then she wanted to braid is hair and-- Let's say it takes him a little while to bring her back.

(Mobei is discovering his paternal instincts. He's also projecting a lil, Child lost into a different realm??? AINT THAT FAMILIAR??? Must hold the child and keep it safe.)

In the wake of the Infernal Heartstrike Dagger's call, Cang Qiong Mountain Sect is left to pick up the pieces. But whether those pieces bring honor or shame depends on who you ask. I swear, every time I hear more about Elon Musk, I think more and more about Jin Guangshan. They both have wealthy asshole with a ton of kids they don’t care about from a bunch of different women, a deep love of power and lackeys, and a willingness to side with other dangerous, power-hungry people if it benefits them.

Makes me hate them both even more!

Unfortunately, Shang Houhua is back in the thick of things, even as he continues to deal with the fallout of his last mission. But what’s a hapless author to do when events fall completely out of his written plot? Chapter 28 of No One is Alone is out now!

Also, import note. I will be on a brief hiatus until November 15th. There’s plenty more already written, so I’ll absolutely be back. This is just a chance to deal with some irl stuff and build back up the gap between finished writing and what’s posted!

Whenever Jiang Cheng threatens to break Jin Ling's legs and Jin Ling is like "uh huh, sure 🙄"

I am reminded of when I would "threaten" my then toddler by telling them I would "knot their knees behind their ears" and my kid would fall over from laughing shrieking with delight "No you won't! You love me!"

And i'd sigh like I'm very put upon and go "Oh yes I do, darn it " and my kid would laugh even harder because this was the funniest bit to them

And even now at 15 if they say a cutting remark and I puff up like an offended cat they just roll their eyes because they know I love them and my "anger" is performative.

And then they call me short since they are almost six feet tall and yet still a little shit and I puff up even more and they laugh at me

Anyway so I often like to imagine Jiang Cheng saying shit like "if you run off I will break your legs" to a tiny Jin Ling who laughs because that's sooo funny because of COURSE Jiujiu would never! So he shrieks back a delighted "no you won't! You love me"

And Jiang Cheng is like "yeah I do so don't run off brat"

Because that would be so very cute

Shang Houhua is finally back at Cang Qiong Mountain Sect and all healed up. Now he just needs to face his friends, fellow disciples, and Mobei-Jun. How hard can that be? Chapter 26 of No One is Alone is now up!

I’ve been bouncing between reading mdzs fanfics about Nie Mingjue (and others) and writing my svsss fanfic about Yue Qingyuan (and others) and the more I toggle, the more I get to thinking about Baxia and Xuan Su.

While the issues they cause manifest a little differently, there’s no denying there’s some real similarities between the two swords. And I just really wonder what would happen if we let Nie Mingjue and Yue Qingyuan meet and discuss their swords and whether they’d end up helping each other or making things somehow worse. Though with their different reactions to their prickly (ex) partners, communications might break down long before they get to swords.

Honestly, I think I just sort of want to lock them in a room together and see what happens, but I also fear what happens is a qi deviations for either one or both of them. Or they start sword fighting which also wouldn’t go at all well. But who knows! Maybe they’d each send the other down the right road instead and both could end up alive and happy!

Now that the rescue mission has found him, Shang Houhua has no choice but to return to the sect and hope his choices with Mobei-Jun won’t blow up in his face. Surely his friends won’t be too mad at him, right? Chapter 25 of No One is Alone is out now!
