FINAL SHOOT - Chlo and Em

These are the top images i like out of all the images from the shoot. They turned out better than i thought they would, but i do regret not going with my original idea of renewing old items or furniture and using them on location.

I had Chlo (Blonde) wear the denim jacket, split trousers and a small black crop top paired with a silver necklace owned by me and some chunky black boots.

I then had Em (Brunette) wear a leather jacket, black dress, a pair of large hoops i bought, my own gothic styled necklace paired with Em's doc marten black boots.

Both these outfits contrasted against the backdrop of wallpapers which i liked about this shoot. It all seemed to link and go together in terms of colour which i am relieved about.

Lighting and wallpaper setup for my shoot. Wallpapers have been bought reduced from shops. For the lighting i used a medium square lightbox light on the right and a large octabox light on the left.

Final Shoot

For my final shoot i have decided to get some inspiration from the Gucci collection that i previously researched on my blog. As in that specific catwalk for Gucci, they tended to use statement jewellery which i quite liked the look of and possible wanted to try it with the jewellery i own with my outfits bought from a charity shop.

For the location my original plan was to do a shoot in the style of Julia Noni using a board or piece of material as a background on location instead of in the studio, but because i haven't yet used the studio in any of my shoots i decided that i would also use the idea off Julia Noni using a board as a background, and i would use offcuts and reduced wallpaper for my background in the studio to make it a bit more different than just using a plain white background.

Darkroom experiment 2

Using inspiration from Jeff Enlows work, i decided to do my own version and experiment with multiple exposures with a twist. For my experiment i layered two different films on top of eachother before exposing them onto the print paper in the darkroom. But instead of just having two different images layered on top of eachother, i decided to flip one image so that one of the images would be upside down. I tested this three times, the first time i printed this i selected 2 seconds that it would be exposed for, this made the turnout for the image very faint and not very clear. Which meant that in my third and forth attempt i increased the amount of seconds to 5 and the images came out much more darker and contrasted which is how i wanted the final image to come out like.

As i took around 90 images plus, i decided to cut down the images by picking out my favourite ones from each of my six films. I photographed my model Lily in around 4/5 different locations, using five charity shop outfits i picked local locations that i felt suited well with each of these outfits.

The first outfit i had lily wear a sparkly bodycon dress paired with a denim jacket and the models own Stan Smith trainers and Quay cateye sunglasses that i felt worked well to complete the outfit. When picking the location, i felt that the brightly coloured rapeseed field worked well with the natural colours of the blues and whites and greens from Lily's outfit.

For the second outfit she wore a 'rocky horror picture show' t shirt along with a black pencil skirt and stan smiths. For this outfit, i found an abandoned garage and decided to use the colours and textures of the door as a background as i felt it suited the colour scheme of the outfit with the black and whites.

The third outfit was a strappy white dress which i paired with a fake chanel bag and a blue nike bomber all and then the models own stan smiths again as the white in the shoes worked well with the white dress and the blue bomber.

And the last outfit was a floral dress paired with a blue denim shirt and stan smith shoes. A simple yet stylish and affordable outfit.

This second shoot i found that was photographed by actor and photographer Cole Sprouse with model Kendall Jenner. With this shoot and the previous shoot with Lili Reinhart, they both have some similarities in terms of the choices of location for the shoots. These both link to mine in a way as my plan is to photograph more of a naturalistic shoot, as i personally think that when having a naturistic background there is more focus on the model and outfit because of the background being so simplistic. This is what i want to aim for in my next upcoming shoot with naturistic backgrounds.

Although in this shoot with Kendall, she's wearing an outfit that almost makes her fade into the location because the colours of her outfit are very similar to the colours in the location.

Experiment: Darkroom

For my first experiment with my 35mm film images taken of Lily, i decided to experiment in the darkroom. I started off doing some test prints to work out how long i needed to expose the image for in order to get it to a good quality before printing it onto paper.
