hii!! i'm reading your phantom of the arena fanfic right now, and i love it!

i do have a few questions about hiccup's escape though:

does hiccup escape before the final dragon training fight thing? if yes, is that before or after astrid rode on toothless?

i guess what i'm trying to find out is if astrid knows about the whole hiccup-and-toothless thing haha

Full synopsis:

After five years of relentlessly putting up a siege against the Red Death, Hiccup, the former terrorist known as the Phantom of the Arena, has finally defeated the Archipelago's greatest enemy, putting a definitive end to the dragon raids. Hoping the worst is finally behind him, he returns to Berk, only to find he left more behind than just the girl he loved. And that life still isn't done with him.

Outside of the Archipelago, Eret, son of Eret, is left with nothing after a mysterious dragon rider destroys his fort and releases the captured dragons his employer sorely needed. Fearing he'll be killed if he doesn't, he flees to the Archipelago with what little remains, hoping to find employment in the dragon-infested area. But the threat seems to have followed him, as news spreads of how Berk's infamous Phantom has returned to reclaim what's his. And that people like Eret will never be safe, unless they act against him.

Thinking how it's been a little over a year since I first played Baldur's Gate 3 and imagining the HTTYD gang fulfilling their roles as protagonists within that story.

Fishlegs and Gale would *vibe* - I also think Fishlegs would be a wizard.

Snotlout simps for Shadowheart.

Astrid and Karlach could rule the world together with a solid "If I see bad guys I choose violence first." approach

Tuffnut and Ruffnut keep asking Astarion to make them a vampire and drive even Raphael crazy.

And Hiccup's just standing around wondering how once again he found himself leading a group of unashamed weirdos.

Fun facts:

- This parrot is from a New Zealand and is a second parrot there. Another one is Kakapo

- They are omnivore so their diet has more options than regular parrots. They even hunt, hence why their beak is so different from other parrots!

- Keas are very smart and playful creatures that roll snow into balls and play with them on the mountains.

- In their sanctuary they are taught to recognize which color goes to which in an exchange for a treat.

Hiccup Haddock was born from a tribe full of Warriors, Barbarians and Rangers, well known for using their skills to hunt Dragons, The Hooligan Tribe. He was raised as a ranger, as his mother was, but eventually he sought a different path, finding his calling working with Magic and Machinery. His life took a drastic turn when his familiar took the form of a dragon, his clan’s mortal enemy. Their animosity led Hiccup and Toothless to flee his tribe and travel around Faerun, where he meets a travelling Sorcerer named Jack, who shares his mission to hunt the shards of a fallen star, the last of which is guarded by a Red Dragon. Hiccup offers his help to steal the shard from the Dragon’s horde and finds out that the very beast is responsible for controlling the hordes of dragons to attack his tribe. Together, they plan to take down the dragon so Hiccup can protect his tribe and for Jack to bring together the shards of the star. Although, his reasons for it is a mystery even for Hiccup himself…
