(WTF 10 years?!! I know I’ve kind of let this blog die, and it took me a while to write this sentence because I needed to get back into the language, but, yay! I’m not dead!)

@ice-cream-samdwich Thank you! I am a little out of practice, but it’s nice getting back into it. :-D

@het-stille-woud replied to your post “A man makes a house out of wood”
Are you going, then, with a literal translation of “man makes a wood house” rather than “man makes a house out of (instrumental or similar) wood?”
I think so. Of course, I may end up deciding I don’t like doing it that way, and coming up with something else...

With a good friend, we learn a lot.

Remember to speak with kindness
puser'r'an et n'uten'aj' can edhemiaran qudäzhu et
pusɛr̥r̥an ɛt n̥utɛn̥aj̥ ǀan ɛðɛmiaran ǁudaʲʒu ɛt Remember-IMP SBRC FUT-2S NCSS 2S-speak-IMP kind-ADV SBRC.
This literally translates as: “Remember that you must speak kindly.”
Notes: -Indeed, -r’an/-ran is used for marking the imperative. -”et” introduces (and closes) a subordinate clause. -"You must do something” is translated with the following structure: FUT-2S NCSS 2S-do-IMP . The Ajatsian word “can” is the “must” auxiliary (or whatever it is); the verb after it takes the usual person prefix and the imperative mark, and no evidential. -Reminder that the adverb goes after the verb and is often formed by suffixing -zhu/-shu to an adjective.

A quick note that you can find more text translation samples of Ajatsian by clicking the link above. I will eventually add them here and possibly add the conscript version, but by now you may have noticed that “eventually” can mean “in over a year"...

And of course there needed to be a version in the original Ajatsian script as well!

I am on fire! For the first time ever, you can now hear spoken Ajatsian. The text is the stanza from this post. Pronunciation is not 100% accurate but it is the best I could manage. The version in the Ajatsian conscript is here.

Also while I am at it, I might as well list the things I came up with to translate those 5 lines:
-kad/-gad is used for “about” and related meanings (gloss: REF)
n’ut-/nud- is the subject prefix indicating future tense (as a reminder, past tense is indicated by m’en’-/men- on the subject)
“ethe” is the interrogative “who” (and takes tense prefixes like an ordinary subject... but I am considering only allowing the l’aj’-/laj [hypothetical] affix instead)
some new vocabulary, CWS dictionary is updated but not the spreadsheet because I am too lazy to make the same entry three times (CWS, AJA>EN and EN>AJA)

@nhvz replied to your post “zhö icisen’ eqasungad-id teteshibeggä u*f böbogad-id agzhuzhupe-id u*f...”
I'm always admirative of how you conlangers can build a grammar, like that. This is awesome.
Oh, thank you! To be honest, I am always nervous about posting stuff because I feel my conlangs are far too simple and laughable compared to those of other people who actually know what they are doing. But I am having fun nonetheless. :-D
