I find it funny when queer fantasy stories are written in a setting where homophobia doesn't exist, but there's a ~forbidden romance~ element coming from some completely different, fantastical prejudice. Like

"Son, I don't care if you suck dick, but no child of mine will be sharing a bed with a goddamn necromancer!"

Call me whatever names you wish, but I think this is a much better (and healthier) attitude than “anyone under 18 should never be allowed to see any sexual imagery ever”

(For reference: this was at the Tom of Finland exhibition, containing actual, queer, kinky af pornography. There were definitely some young people there, perhaps in their late teens. There was even a parent with their baby who was probably too young to understand anything at all. And guess what, all those people are probably going to be fine.)

AU where alpha!Jiwoo is being courted but his guardian omega!Kayden doesn't approve any of them coz no one deserves his baby. Cue Jiwoo making friends with his suitors and these gremlins turned the tables and it's Kayden who's being courted.

One of the worst things about reading a lot of Batman comics is that you get to a point where you realize that a lot of people who have a lot of very strong opinions on Batman do not in fact read many comics that are about Batman. And then you have to restrain the urge to be very very annoying.

I recently had surgery, and at the time I came home, I had both my cat and one of my grandma's cats staying with me.

- Within hours of surgery, I wake up from a nap to my cat gently sniffing at my incisions with great alarm.

- I was not allowed to shower the first day after surgery, and the cats, seeing that The Large Cat is not observing its cleaning ritual, decided I must be gravely disabled and compensated by licking all the exposed skin on my arms, face, and legs.

- I currently have to sleep with a pillow over my abdomen because my cat insists on climbing on top of me and covering my incisions with her body while I sleep (which is very sweet but not exactly comfortable without the pillow). She also lays across me facing my bedroom door, presumably on guard for attackers who may try to harm me while I'm sleeping and injured.

Hijack week 2025 day 2: Role reversal AU

The babies were introduced to the puzzle feeder today. The photo is blurry because they all immediately went ham on the scrambled eggs before realizing there were Treats hidden.

The first time I put the feeder down, it was mostly Bug opening up the slots and letting the babies steal all the treats (she ate some of the granola pieces). The SECOND time, the babies knew the game was about to be afoot, and they were READY.
