i will try to love myself every day the work is hard and it is work i have to do and i wish it was not a task i had to commit myself to but pretending that i am fine and that i am full of self love has only hurt the people around me. i will learn to love myself through my own eyes. i will learn to appreciate the eyes of others not rely on them. i will dedicate myself to a sympathy towards myself and understand that imperfect people are the more valuable and lovable than flawless inhuman creatures. i will let myself feel and let myself experience joy and not experience some weird guilt over the idea of people who deserve it more. i am okay with being happy and with being sad and one does not outweigh the other. people around me love me and i will love myself and i do not need them to love me to love myself. i am allowed to love myself. turning my back on my self hatred does not make me a bad person. hating yourself does not make you a better person. critiquing your actions and experiencing guilt over mistakes is healthy reflection but to let it rot you from the inside out while pretending it hasn't only risks people getting hurt in the fallout. i will communicate and share understanding with myself and won't let it boil into irritation and anger. i care so much for others its only proof that it's within my power to learn to love myself.
