Varanda of Callisto I have decided to now headcanon looks exactly like Bloom because they’re first cousins through their mothers. After Bloom not being Varanda is revealed, she was called up about letting Bloom take her spot since Stella ripped up the paper saying she’s not attending. She was not amused with what Stella did though was very confused about the fact she and Bloom are essentially copy pastes of each other (I like to imagine just hairstyle is different) and when she later learns their cousins they call every now and then

Idk if its canon or a headcanon but I saw somewhere that Bloom sucks at cooking and I always imagined its because as a baby to her late child years she kept trying to touch the fire from the stove because its fascinating to her which scared Mike and Vanessa into banning her from the kitchen. Her cooking improves post fairy discovery because learning she has fire magic has quenched her insatiable need to know what fire feels like

i love the idea of bloom being a little arsonist, but not in the way that fate did it, you know? i like the idea of bloom turning up the stove too high and putting out matches on her tongue and burning marshmallows in bonfires on purpose. i love the idea of her just enjoying fire

I like to imagine Bloom’s unwillingness to go overly fancy despite having such a huge fortune even pre Domino restoration horrifies fellow royals like Stella and Diaspro (Stella is to a lesser degree than Diaspro’s horror but girl would love to have more money on even more dresses) because like she really doesn’t need to go on a budget or alter her own clothes to save up on cash but she’s too stubborn to change how she’s been living. 

She probably only dolls up with expensive dresses on events that aren’t for her iodsjeiog like on her birthday she’ll wear an old dress she altered a bit so she still stands out and can save up on cash, then goes out and buys a brand new fancy dress because she’s attending a ball for Aisha and she wants to impress her😭

bloom grew up in a family with a smaller income, and it’s shown in the first episode that her parents cannot always afford the things that bloom wants. i believe bloom couldn’t afford a few dresses in the early episodes, but she did alter a dress for the alfea party, so there’s that.

when she becomes a princess, i find it highly unbelievable that she just accepts her new life with no fuss. bloom would be like ‘i can’t accept all of this luxury and all of these items- who will pay for them?’

on one hand, bloom would probably immediately become a champion for working class rights and universal healthcare if those were not already commonplace on Domino. on the other hand it would be really funny to watch her try and host a royal ball on a budget, or to watch her keep altering her dresses on her own

I refuse to believe that Bloom’s birth name is Bloom. Her birth parents have names as interesting as Oritel and Miriam/Marion and her sister is named Daphne. Admittedly the women have way simpler names than men (I tried googling Oritel name origins and came out with nothing) but I like to think Bloom at birth had a name like Alexandra or Alessia which means protector or defender and they called her “Alex” or “Lex” for short. (I personally prefer Alessia cause Alexandra sounds really generic to me ckpdsdjcpf). 

It would be interesting to have especially if the show bothered to fully address how awkward and odd their relationship should be given they were unable to be present for the first 18 years of Bloom’s life. In the reunion it can still be cute, Daphne would still introduce her as her sister and under the name Bloom but it doesn’t really click to Marion and Oritel cause they’re so happy to see their beloved Lex is alive and grew up to be so powerful. 

Plus Bloom having a different name as a baby would make no one seeming to connect the dots of who Bloom is until the Trix reveal it more sensible because like I refuse to believe no one connected the dots on Bloom’s identity when she A.) is the spitting image of Marion and B.) LITERALLY HAS THE LOST PRINCESS’ NAME

Like I get saying the brand new fairy who claims to be from Earth being the lost princess of a ruined kingdom is a stretch but given its a magical universe with infinite possibilities, it’s not completely insane to believe.

Just curious if I were to watch the entirety of Season 1, should I do Rai or 4kids? With season 2 I ngl preferred 4kids cause the voice acting was stronger for me there but a lot of people online seem to find Rai better

IM SORRY FOR PROCRASTINATING NVNEGIGMPA I’ll finish them all I swear

Again I did not watch the whole season that has this so maybe I’m gonna miss some points since Im mostly just reading the wiki and watching clips of how they earn it and the transformation sequence.

The name is STUPID. Roll the credits-

I’m kidding ofc but it really is ridiculous, like they couldn’t come out with a better name for a transformation related to the DRAGON FLAME? Dracnix, Draconix, Pyrix, etc. They aren’t exactly lacking in options and Im sure the team who makes Winx can create more ideas than a teenager on tumblr. I’ve only allowed this name to exist in my head by headcanoning its not this transformation thats named after Bloom but Bloom whos named after this transformation. 

So I can fully get behind the idea that the dragon flame is capable of granting the Winx a new transformation given it supposedly is part of the Great Dragon that created the universe. That part makes perfect sense and I have no complaints on that and the reason for the Winx needing this power which is that everyone but Bloom lost their powers due to the Legendarium is a bit odd but again I can get behind it since it does make sense that there are magical artifacts and beings out there who can take powers much like the Trix took Bloom’s power in Season 1 except this time it actually works on the other girls since they dont have the almighty Dragon Flame. Don’t really get why Bloom needed this transformation aside from I guess she obviously couldn’t be left out and decided to get a new form that is more suited to fighting Selina since Sirenix is more of an ocean transformation.

Now its reason to exist is fine but its transformation requirement is essentially a ripoff of Enchantix. The descriptions in the wiki paint a really flattering description of how the girls earn their Bloomix.

But considering the fact I WATCHED how they earned it. It’s really not as cool as the wiki makes it out to be... Flora saves her sister again (If they really needed her to save someone just make it Helia or mother jfc why is it Miele again???), Stella and Aisha do backflips, Musa sings and Techna believes in her.. (Wow they ripped off CHARMIX AS WELL), Bloom earning her Bloomix would be way cooler if it wasn’t Diaspro who got her there. I’m not even gonna rant about how it makes no sense that Diaspro was the one to attack her, anyone who watched Season 3 and has half a braincell can tell you why Diaspro being at Daphne’s coronation is absolutely RIDICULOUS. Also why do they even need to prove themselves to earn this transformation if Bloom just hands the power to them?? Why does Bloom even need to earn the power if shes the fairy of the dragon flame???

Time to actually praise this transformation in some way and that’s easy. I’M PRAISING THE DESIGNS. THE DESIGNS, IM DYING THEY’RE SO GOOD. THE GIRLS LOOK SO COOL LOOK AT FLORA’S EVERYTHING, BLOOM’S TRANSFORMATION FINALLY HAS A DRAGON THEME (AND NO P I N K), AISHA’s HAIR, MUSA HAS ASIAN INSPIRATIONS IN HER TRANSFORMATION FINALLY, TECNA’S TRANSFORMATION LOOKS BOTH SCI-FI AND FANTASY AGAIN, STELLA IS BEAUTIFUL AS ALWAYS. *ahem* Sorry I just love these designs, they’re my favorite set of designs overall even though I can see how Bloom and Stella look alike (I notice they tend to look alike often tbh, is this cause they’re best friends???),etc but like I can get behind it because these designs are S tier and if my ratings were pure design these would conquer all.

The transformation sequence is honestly quite good, the backgrounds are all so unique to each girl and its more than just the girls’ color and they aren’t just getting dressed but are zipping across the screen and I like how their power looks vaguely flame like? I’m not sure but they look flame like which is a good touch for the transformation gained via the dragon flame. The song is good though not as good as the others, better than Butterflix’s though. 

Ratings:

7.8/10 Honestly a lot of complaints I had are execution errors than flaws themselves with the transformations. It could’ve been up there with Magic Winx, Enchantix and Sirenix if the execution of earning the power through brave acts was less ridiculous and if the name wasn’t stupid.

Welp rating this is gonna suck.

It’s reason to exist is perfectly logical, the Legendarium world works differently than the regular world so the Winx need another transformation to actually be able to use magic there and they gain this from these magic wands that I honestly am not too fond of.

Why do Bloom and Aisha have pink wands?? Their designs both in Bloomix and Mythix don’t have any pink, I don’t want to give the impression I’m repulsed by pink, Flora is my favorite and she’s always in pink hence why the use of her main color on the other girls is super annoying especially when they could be easily changed for other colors like blues and reds. 

My lack of fondness for the wands aside, I think gaining transformations from magic artifacts make sense honestly and I have no complaints about it.

WHAT I DO HAVE A COMPLAINT ABOUT THOUGH IS THE DESIGNS WHAT ON EARTH AM I LOOKING AT.

I’m in the small group of not hating the 3d in Winx Club tbh. It’s definitely not anywhere near as good as 2d Winx but like the Winx are enabled to do such cool and fluid motions in 3d but like what happened to the 3d from the movies to the one for Mythix?? Lack of budget???

(Okay wait why is Flora white here, hmm maybe I should convert to hating 3d)

Did they lose the people who made the models or something?? Cause like 

I don’t think its hard to find the superior 3d versions of the girls. 

The designs of the girls are extremely lazy for a name and premise like Mythix in the Legendarium world because there was so much ways they could’ve modelled the girls after characters from myths like Mulan or the various goddesses who share the same powers as the girls. I’m convinced the design are so lazy because the 3d animators saw the Bloomix designs went “WHAT!?! WE CANT ANIMATE THIS! MAKE THEM SIMPLER” and bam the winx going to prom was created. The only thing I like tbh about these designs are some of the wings, Bloom’s especially. Also I like the dresses themselves except for the ones on Musa and Flora. It’s just why is this the clothes they get when in the super powerful, legendarium world.

The only good part of the transformation sequence is the fact each transformation shows off the girls’ individual powers and the fact I like the poses they make when done. (Only issue on that is what the hell happened to your wings Tecna in your last pose?? They arent attached to your back-). I had a friend watch this (actually made them watch all the transformations with me lol) and we just ended up making fun of how much the girls start spinning because why are they just spinning?? Like I get wanting unique sequences now that you aren’t limited to moving things in 2d but why is spinning the best they could come up with?? The song I share similar sentiments to Bloomix’s song. It’s good but compare it to the other songs and its inferior. I like Bloomix’s more than Mythix’s song though Mythix still beats Butterflix’s song for me.

Rating is 3/10. Between this and Butterflix, I like this more because Butterflix’s transformation felt insulting both in reasons to exist and transformation but this gets the same rating as Butterflix for only being good in reasons to exist. The designs are a massive downgrade from Bloomix’s designs and the spinning is a waste of a transformation sequence. Oh yeah and the wands don’t seem to play any part aside from being where they shoot out magic, something they can do with their hands.

Okay so Im rewatching the Season 2 finale on the 4kids dub and I just find this more funny than it really should be 

“I’m really worried about our kids. Do you think they’re okay?”  that is so sweet of you Griselda and because that’s so sweet why don’t you take a guess

One of my favorite things about rewatching the winx transformations is just seeing how beautiful Aisha/Layla’s hair is, how did I only notice now that I’m older. Flora may be the prettiest Winx (in my personal opinion) but Aisha’s hair is just perfection
