Between Jared and Gen Padalecki, DJ Qualls and Ty Olsson, and now these two, not to mention the couples that met through conventions (Mark sheppard and his wife) and the ones who met through costars (Jeffery Dean Morgan and his wife), this show was a real matchmaker.

Happy 18th birthday Supernatural.

15 years this show graced our screens, during which we followed along on the many adventures had by Sam and Dean (and eventually Cas).

We’ve seen women in white, wendigos, demons, angels, the devil, and god himself. Even more amazingly though, we saw our favorite actors become great fathers, saw charity organizations and donations be made in the SPN family name, saw Destiel become canon, and came to see our boys in new roles.

It has been eighteen years since the pilot episode aired, and though lots have changed, we can still go back and watch this amazing show from chapter one.

Gotham Knights is Cancelled

The last of the SPN trio’s new shows has been cancelled. First it was Jensen Ackles’s The Winchesters, then Jared Padalecki’s Walker: Independence, and now Misha Collins’s Gotham Knights. None of these shows managed to find new homes on other networks of streaming platforms after the CW decided they were too costly to continue. The perhaps only saving graces are that Padalecki’s Walker Texas Ranger revival, simply titled Walker, has been renewed for a fourth season on the CW, The Boys continues further with Jensen as Soldier Boy, and Ackles’s western film “Rust” is set to be released. Also, with Misha being as phenomenal of an actor as he is, it won’t be long till he starts a new project.

Thank you to @stunudo for correcting me in the comments. Due to what is thought to be scheduling conflicts, Jensen is no longer in the film Rust with his character having been recast. Let’s hope we see him on the big screen soon though.

Walker: Independence is Officially Cancelled

Unfortunately, Walker: Independence wasn’t picked up for a second season by another network or streaming service, so while Jared Padalecki’s Walker Texas Ranger Reboot continues with a season four, the prequel spin-off starring Katherine McNamara is over. The show was an unfortunate casualty of the CW’s transition during this time when streaming reigns supreme, so the amazing show has come to an end with just one season under its belt.

Unfortunately, the 2022 Supernatural prequel series, The Winchesters, has officially been cancelled. After it was announced the CW would not be renewing it for a second season, Jensen Ackles and the other members of Chaos Machine Productions sought out different networks and streaming services, trying to get someone to pick up the series. At this tumultuous time in the tv industry however, their efforts were unsuccessful and the Winchesters (the show at least), is done. There's still some hope out there for Jared Padalecki's Walker spin-off series, Walker: Independence starring Katherine McNamara, so sign the petitions and show your love of the show in the hopes that a network will pick it up. But, at least for now, Supernatural as a "franchise", is either at a standstill, or plain at rest.

CW’s Cuts

CW Update: It seems the network is cutting a lot of original shows on its network. Walker has been renewed for season four. Walker: Independence has been cancelled and is looking for a new network. #SaveWalkerIndependence. The Winchesters has been cancelled and is looking for a new network with the #SavetheWinchesters campaign.

I’m really sad with the news on Walker independence, but I’m hoping it will find a new home. I’m really not sure if The Winchesters will be able to though. It’s a toss of the dice at this point.
