Headcannons on how Gray and Natsu would react to a sleeptalking partner/ (s/o)?

This has been sat in my @acnologiica inbox for a good two/three years now. I lost inspiration for the Fairy Tail fandom long ago but a new Fairy Tail roleplay on Quotev has got me mildly interested again and this request made me giggle so here we are. 

Tis is short and sweet, so probably not worth the wait but I had fun writing it so that’s something, hehe.

Natsu:

It’s safe to say that Natsu is a heavy sleeper

Honestly if you’re talking in your sleep, likely hood is he won’t even notice if he’s sleeping too

You could be full on calling him a loser in your sleep but his snores would out weigh any noise your making any day of the week

It’s a totally different story when he’s awake though

You’re just casually snoozing on the couch after a long day at the guild and Natsu stroll’s in ready to get him and Happy a fat sandwich to fill up their empty stomachs

That’s when he hears it

“I promise I didn’t feed the fish strawberry cake Erza.”

He just quirks an eyebrow and gives his signature wide eyed, head tilted expression

“Hu?”

After closer inspection Natsu realises you’re sound asleep and refrains from bursting out into laughter

After a second of contemplating what to do the dragon slayer decides to have some fun

“Oh yeh? I’m pretty sure you did you big liar.”

“I would never do that I love cake to much you monster.”

Natsu would proceed to get Happy involved and the cat and dragon duo would shout nonsense at you and fall into fit’s of giggles at any of your answers.

Natsu’s favourite quote of yours is “No Natsu. Stop making me play golf! You know I hate golf!”

Where as Happy’s favourite moment was when you both had a rather lovely conversation

“I know everything.”

“Pftttttt okok.” Him and Natsu proceed to muffle their giggles “What’s a Polynomia!” He didn’t know himself, Happy heard Levy say it.

“It’s when you don’t get a toy in your happy meal” ;(

Gray:

Similar to Natsu, Gray is a pretty heavy sleeper

Difference is though Gray is actually a major cutie and if his partner is making any noise that he thinks seems strange his body is forcing itself awake just to check on them

“Hey, what’s up?”

“Math’s needs to grow up and solve it’s own problems.”

“…What?”

This big kid will lay on his side smirking and ask you all the questions he want’s answers to from you, taking everything with a BIG pinch of salt

“What’s your favourite thing about me?”

“I like your face cause I could paint it.”

“What’s your dream date?”

“Me. A beach. And Tom Hardy.”

“Wait it’s not with me?”

“Wait. You’re not Tom Hardy?”

The ice mage will full on stroke your hair out of your face as you murmur nonsense and just smile down softly at you

He likes to gently blow on your face and watch as your nose scrunches up and you let out a little whine

He doesn’t like people taking advantage of your sleep talking just because he feels like you’re in a really vulnerable position and no one knows what you’re going to say, and if something is said to the wrong person and they get offended, it’s not fair on you since you don’t know what you’re talking about.

When Gray isn’t talking back to you when you’re sleep talking then he’s just listening intently, trying to see if he can hear anything worth while

He want’s to know if there’s anything he can do better, or if there’s anyone or anything upsetting you that you haven’t even told him about

Deep down Gray is a very insecure person, and part of him is scared one day you’ll admit in your sleep that he just isn’t good enough

Hello. Again.

Hey, everyone.

So, as I’m sure many of you know by now, Tumblr went on a rampage and deleted a bunch of blogs for whatever fucking reason. Broken bot purge, messed up code, idiot staff, I don’t know nor do I really care. 

In general, it upset me. Greatly. I’ve spent the last three days hoping for some type of response from Tumblr with nothing. I assume that it is because they are swamped with shit, with other people contacting them about their blogs being wrongfully deleted. But, 72 hours is a long time, holiday or not. 

At this time, I’ve decided to start over, for both this blog and my art blog, which is currently also a WIP to get it back up. 

For now, things will be going slow. No requests, though my inbox is open for chatting or whatever else. I’ll be slowly, over time, reposting old scenarios since they’ve all vanished from Tumblr now. 

Except for NSFW.

I’m going to be avoiding those things for now. 

If they do end up giving me my blog back, then I’ll figure out what to do from there. But for now, here I am~ Depressed, anxious and pissed off. 

Thank you to everyone who has worried about me and wondered where I had gone off to. I’m sorry if what happened caused any distress. I had no way of getting out to anyone or saying what happened, and it was incredibly frustrating… 

Anyways, I’ll try to mix up new stories inbetween old ones, just to keep it a bit mixed up for everyone who is following me again. 

Let’s try to move on together.

Gray Fullbuster

☛ Needing to take spare clothes everywhere ; Of course, dating Gray comes with many perks! But there are also, many down sides. For one, he has a habit of discarding his clothes no matter when or where. The worst thing is its always so subtle! One second his s/o looks away and the next when they look back his clothes have disappeared into thin air! To help spare Gray of the embarrassment, it becomes only natural of his s/o to bring some jeans and maybe a hoodie. Usually when his s/o does this, Gray will give them a small peck to the cheek and murmur words of thanks with an adorable blush.

Of course stripping in public has its downsides…but stripping in private? Now that’s when it gets fun. It gives his s/o a clear invitation to tease him in any which way they like. Weather that be taking the mic out of his childish habit, which always ends up with his s/o’s face freezing cold from a large spray of ice cubes! Or, teasing his smoking hot bod and maybe giving a small playful and…suggestive gesture. The latter will lead to some more grown up activities that Gray is more then willing to help out with.

☛Having a human cooler in hot weather ; Now - Gray absolutely hates this in the day time. He HATES having a human being cling onto him like their life depends on it. Dont get him wrong, Gray does love the attention, but he cant deal with the public display of affection that comes from his s/o’s arms wrapped around his neck whilst they beg to be cooled down. For Gray, the worst part is the fact his s/o will be wearing a limited amount of clothes which will cause this poor little ice pop to melt from over heating due to his flustered face.

Again. When in private, its more enjoyable. Gray will strip down to his boxers, lay in his bed which will only have a pillow or two and a thin sheet, and he’ll snuggle up close to his s/o allowing them to get as cool as they want to in the boiling hot weather. Gray’s favorite snuggling position is when he lays his s/o on top of himself so their chest is pressed against his own. He then proceeds to wrap his arms around their waist and lets them bury their head into his neck. He likes to know his s/o is with him at all times.

Rogue Cheney

☛Having to get along with Frosch ; Lets be clear, if his s/o dosent like Frosch then their not his s/o. They’d be more like an s/no. Most days when Rogue isn’t out on a mission or in the guild he will take his s/o out with him and Frosch. Maybe Sting. And do something all three of you find fun. This could mean roaming around the market and buying sweets and merchandise, or just going to the forest and watching Frosch paddle in the lake while he talks calmly to his s/o. One important things to note about Rogue is he enjoys his peace and quiet.

This means pranking him is the funnest thing to do in the world, and when combined pleas of mercy come from both his s/o and Frosch he can only sigh in defeat. The best bit? Rogue pranks back. Thats right, he pranks back with the help of Sting and Lector. His s/o’s pranks usually consist of things like tying a horn to the bottom of Rogues stool, so when he sits down it makes a loud noise and he has a heart attack right then and there or, stealing all his clothes so he has to run to Stings room in shadow form. Rogue usually jump scares his s/o which may end in his s/o crying because he is good at jump scares!

☛ Wearing matching outfits ; PDA is not something Rogue likes doing much. Even in private, he dosent really enjoy it but he’ll do it if it pleases his s/o. Of course, since his s/o will respect some of his boundaries, he wants to find something that could make them seem like a couple. This is why Rogue usually buys his s/o a matching black cape or buys matching white shirts with some black trousers for him and some black shorts/skirts for his s/o. Fyi, if his s/o dosent like this he’ll be crushed, and wont stop trying to find something he can do to make up for his lack of kisses.

Like always. This has a bright side since Rogues idea for matching clothes can also be used by his s/o, and its so. Much. Fun. Rogue personally hates it when his s/o buys matching clothes, since lets be honest, its just to embarrass him. Most of the time when his s/o buys matching clothes it will be shirts that have words written on them. For example, Rogues will say “I provide the baby” his s/o’s will say “I have the baby!” and Froschs will say “I’m not the baby but i still get a shirt!” which is just adorable because its Frosch.

Sting Eufflicle

☛Lots and lots and lots and lots of cuddles ; Imagine, his s/o waking up in the morning in their single bed only to be glomped as soon as their eyes are open. His hugs will last for five minuets and they will be the most suffocating minuets of his s/o’s life. Of course sting being sting, he’ll throw in a couple of kisses to make sure his s/o is well catered for and as comfortable as they could possibly be in his iron grip. His morning cuddles are of course the worst, and throughout the day surprise cuddles will be coming for his s/o. However, since hes always so busy working in the guild. The surprise hugs are a lot more welcome and a lot softer then morning hugs.

Night time hugs are the absolute best. After a busy day he’ll crawl into his s/o’s bed with them even if they protest, and fall asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow. Snores will be the hardest part of this, but as the night goes on his snores ease up slightly and become more bearable. As well as this, throughout the night Sting will move to encase his s/o in a gentle hold, cradling them almost and without knowing it, he’ll whisper the sweetest things to them.

Not being able to go on a mission without his approval ; It’s normal for guild masters to approve missions chosen by their guild members. But is it normal for that master to then go through a check list making sure they have everything they need and then proceeding to make sure they don’t go alone? No. Sting is a worrywort. He cant go on missions with his s/o since he has work to do back at that guild so instead he has Rogue, his right hand man to go with his s/o instead.

Depending on the mission, Rogue will either leave Stings s/o to go by themselves or accompany them. He understands why Sting is so worked up but he also dosent think its right for you to get little independence. On some level Rogue will now Sting is taking his worry all out on his s/o and urges them to talk to the master. The conversation between Sting and his s/o turns into a small argument, but when its finished. He ends up crying because of stress, and his s/o will have to hold him and tell him everything’s okay.

Jellal Fernandes

☛Both avoiding being killed by Erza ; Let’s be clear. Erza does start off being jealous, but eventually gets over the fact that Jellal now has an s/o and lets them be. If anyone knows Erza, they know that she prefers people to be happy over herself being happy.However…Jellal is till a childhood friend of hers, and she will not allow his s/o, to harm him in anyway shape of form!Got it!? But also, that being said, Erza arranges days for Jellal’s s/o and herself to hang out and has grown a rather good bond with them and so…she will not allow Jellal to harm his s/o in anyway shape or form either! Got it!? Scared yet? Good.

If Jellal and his s/o fight. Then their is a 98% chance she will get involved and its actually not as bad as his s/o believes. Erza is incredibly rational and will sort the fight out in a split second. If one of them is being unfair then she’ll tell them in a split second and scare them into apologizing. On the other hand, if one of them is being moody and whiny, then she’ll make them man up! Especially if its Jellal. The 2% when she dosent get involved is usually when its a serious argument.

☛Having to wait weeks for Jellal to come home ; The blue haired male is often out with his guild helping people who need his help. There is nothing that can bring more pride to someones heart then knowing that their loved one is selfless and wants to make amends for the things they’ve done in the past. However, its heart aching at the same time. Usually at night his s/o will sit there, wondering if Jellal is safe or if he’s got himself killed. Being on the run means he never uses lacrima to contact his s/o unless its for an emergency.

Jellal can be away for weeks at a time, worst case scenario months. But his s/o can be assured that when he does return he’ll make sure to fuss them like they’ve never been fussed before. He’ll arrange candle light dinners, days in bed just to cuddle together, long walks on the beach, passionate kisses, gifts ranging from new shoes to new furniture. He just loves his s/o so much and to know he’s left them on their own just crushes his heart.
