I love season 2. I love it so much, which cannot be described in words properly, so I just draw. This is episode 1, and I will do my best to draw the rest of the episodes. Please wait for me.🥺

ADDING ONTO THIS BECAUSE IVE JUST REWATCHED IT AND FOUND TWO SCENES
When Crowley calls Aziraphale about his car being yellow blah blah blah, he threatened to and I quote, “if you don’t change it back right now, I’m going to start selling people books. In fact I might even give some away.” and you can see the panic on Aziraphales face
THEN LATER ON
When Aziraphale is at the Gabriel statue he asks Crowley, “you haven’t actually been selling people books, have you?” “Not one.” “Oh good.”
HOW DID HE GO FROM THAT TO GIVING AWAY THE ONLY KNOWN COPY OF A 1965 DOCTOR WHO ANNUAL, THAT IS THE ONLY KNOWN PROOF COPY AND LETTING SOMEONE BORROW A FIRTS EDITION OF S.W. ERDNASE’S EXPERT AT THE CARD TABLE (yes I had to rewatch the episode to get the names for those)
But why would he go from being scared that CROWLEY, THE DEMON HES KNOWN FOR OVER 6,000 YEARS, WOULD BE SELLING HIS BOOKS TO THEN GIVING AWAY SUCH BOOKS???
I posted this on Twitter as well but I’ll post it here as well with a few new additions (I apologize for the tags I don’t actually know what I’m doing)
I love the coffee theory, and I do believe it’s played a part. Aziraphale was acting strange before that. He gave away books, he’s never been willing to do that for anyone. I he was almost desperate, but that doesn’t mean he would just give books away, and definitely not as a second option. He didn’t even try to bargain for anything else, he went immediately to giving the books away. Which brings up a better question, how did he know what they wanted? They both dropped everything after being offered to be able to see/own the books.
Even Crowley, who definitely knows not to sell books (he had to tell Jim that they don’t sell books), was visibly confused when Aziaraphale just gave the book away he even had to confirm with Aziraphale that he’d just given the book away (I don’t remember the exact words and I can’t look it up right now so you’ll have to forgive me)
Something was going on before the coffee, before The Metatron. He was so focused on doing the ball, so focused on making the night perfect. But for what? Two humans? That’s right, he wanted to make the night so perfect for two humans, he went as far to give away books, he even miracled every human beside Nina and Maggie to make it ‘family friendly’ in a way. But why did he go that far for them? It can’t just be his admiration to humans? Maybe he’s truly invested in their lives and wants to help? Or maybe it’s something entirely different? I don’t know, Aziraphale was a ticking time bomb, he had religious trauma, he had to take care of the person who basically wanted to kill him, and he and Crowley never talked To each other.
Thank you for reading my little rant, I’d love to hear your guys thoughts and sorry if this post is blank I’m still not used to Tumblr

I think my favorite story plot is that the main character, who just wants to be normal, ends up getting caught in something and has to help.
