Behind this half-open door lies a world of memories and moments frozen in time.
This is the door to my grandma's house, the place where so much of my childhood was spent. It's where we laughed until we cried, had countless barbeques with family and friends, and where I fell asleep listening to the sound of fireworks on New Year's Eve year after year. Mourned together in times of sadness, and celebrated every milestone and achievement.
This house holds so much more than just memories of my grandma - it's a repository of my entire family's history. The door might be half open, but it feels like it's opened up an entire universe of experiences and emotions. And I'm grateful for every single one.

If we were meant to stay in one place, we would have roots instead of feet

Anecdoche A conversation in which everyone is talking but nobody is listening, simply overlaying disconnected words like a game of Scrabble, until we all run out of things to say... i think we as a generation have forgotten what it is to actually have a good conversation, every and i mean EVERY good coversation starts with good listening and being interested, but hey maybe i just wasn’t build for small talk. - Abe instagram: AbeShoots

A tendency to give up talking about an experience because you know people are unable to relate to it.
This picture means a lot to me thats why i still remember every minute of this day probably, it all started on my balcony at 5:30 A.M because what doesn’t start on my balcony… anyways i hadn’t slept and i was just sitting there staring at the stars as usual but it was so cold and at the same time so clear that i knew it would be a spectacular sunrise and i decided to grab my bike and just head into a random direction i hadn’t been before to capture the sunrise, after riding for about an hour i stumbled on this bench in the middle of nowhere and i decided to sit down to drink some water, there was this overwhelming calmness about this place that i haven’t found back in a long time it was so quiet but at the same time so full of life you could hear everything but at the same time nothing, i sat there for about 30 minutes before i took this picture, i love the framing of the trees and the calmness in this shot really reflects who i am as a person.

Call of the void
Do you ever have that fear of falling of a high building or falling infront of the train right as it arrives? Well i have and i swear i’m not suicidal… i have been thinking about this a lot because it’s such a strange feeling it isn’t necessary the fear of falling it’s more the fear that you might jump…. and i think that it has to do with that so many aspects in your life you can’t control… but this you have all the control over.. and i experienced this phenomenon a lot when i was hiking in the mountains of Scotland just the idea/feeling of “ i could just jump ” kept coming into my mind but luckily i never acted on that feeling because otherwise i wouldn’t be writing this at 3 A.M on my balcony.

"Sonder" the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness an epic story that continues invisibly around you like thousands of other lives that you’ll never know existed, in which you might appear only once, as an extra sipping thea in the background, as a blur of traffic passing on the highway, as a lighted window at night... i often wonder who the people in my pictures are and why they were there at that time and why we crossed paths but i'll guess we never know and that is what makes photography so beautiful in my opinion! 📸🌌

"Fernweh" Refers to a longing of far away places similar to homesickness you feel depressed and anxious but only when you're not traveling, i often feel like running away to far places without a plan this somehow will make everything better in my mind... i probably got this from my father... thanks dad , he also couldn't stay in one place... while i'm writing this it's 2 A.M and i'm sitting here on my balcony wondering what the weather in Israel is like.... why Israel you ask? I dont have a fucking clue but it would be a great adventure wouldn't it be? ✈🌌📸 - Abe

Just me, myself and I,
Do you know the French saying “ Mètro, boulot, dodo” it stands for “ Metro, work, sleep” and i’m honestly so afraid of that concept that every day of the rest of your life will have the same routines, day in day out it’s something that keeps me up at night… while i’m typing this at 4 am.. well this night sucks anyway but it feels good to write about it so maybe i should do it more often even tho no one is going to read it … anyway i’m out!

The Life of Vivian Maier, the Nanny-Turned-Photographer Whose Incredible Story Was Nominated for an Oscar
Vivian Maier may have been virtually unknown during her lifetime, but she will go down in history as one of the most iconic photographers alongside the names of masters like Robert Frank and Henri Cartier-Bresson. The subject of an Academy Award-nominated documentary titled Finding Vivian Maier, Maier and her story have fascinated the public since her impressive body of work was unearthed and spread like wildfire across the internet several years ago. Although the documentary didn’t take home the coveted Oscar this past Sunday, fans of Maier everywhere can rest assured knowing that the woman behind the camera has achieved the recognition that her remarkable talents deserve.
