Ariel opened her eyes slowly to see the man she slept. There was the blush as the sunlight reflected onto her red hair. Ariel sat up slowly and locked eyes with Niklaus. 

“That was a good time.” She admitted before kissing him tenderly. The mermaid pushed her own hair back trying to nuzzle closer to the other. She bit her lip. 

“Only if you promise to play with me a bit more.” She whispered as she held him closer.  She whispered as she pressed her body agains this. 

“Can I ride you again too.” She asked as she snuggled under the covers.”That really turned me on.”

Ariel laid down at the couch and stared at Naveen. Thi was a strange coincidence for the both of them. Ariel sighed as let herself hang upside down on the couch. 

“Staying inside is so boring.” Ariel whined. “I already played with all the doohickeys and thongs.” She added holding the items in her hands. Ariel got an idea. Ariel smirked as she looked at her friend. 

“We should go sailing at dusk!” Ariel said, firm on her idea. “Who knows what exciting treasyres we will find.”

      ‘i will! i really want to — i’m sure it’s lovely.’ the huntress signed back, a smile on her face at the excitement that radiated from ariel. the concern however, made her feel guilty, that she was bringing her down too, while this was supposed to a party, a time to let loose. ‘it’s okay. i was just with him. i- sorry for bringing you down too, it’s alright.’

“I’ll make sure to tell Attina!” Ariel signed back. She was a princess but Attina was more capable at this type of stuff. Ariel shook her head.  “You are not bringing me down.” She signed. “You are my friend and so is Hansel.” She nodded firmly. “I will talk to him.” The irony lost on her as she signed. She looked at her friend. “Do you want some water?” It was the least she can do.

     ‘is that so?’ the huntress asked, once again looking at their surroundings before turning back to her friend. ‘i want to visit one day. and really, this palace really is so extraordinary. i hadn’t seen something like this before’ to see her blush, gretel was hit with the urge to comfort. ‘would you like to take a break? and hansel… is okay. i hope he is.’ the smile on her face turned into a frown, helplessness on her features. ‘i think… he is distancing himself from me. it’s my fault.’

“It’s strange.” Ariel signed. “You should come and visit Atlantica too.” She signed excitedly. Ariel nodded. “Maybe a little break will help.” Ariel looked at the other with concern. “Then why don’t we look for him?” She signed. “Just to see if he’s okay. “

with all the rising commotion, lawrence knew but one thing– he had to do all he could to prevent anyone else from falling into harms way. that was, if it wasn’t already too late. he rushed towards the crowd, trying to make sense of all the hushed whispers while keeping a safe distance from the scene. “stay behind me.” he instructed, his arm outstretched to stop them from going any further. “until we know what’s the cause of all this, nothing is safe.”

Ariel was walking quickly into the crowd. She had to know what was going on and head it face on. The mermaid didn’t believe of just standing back. She began to sign at the other. “Which is why I need to go forward!” She signed. “We can’t just stay here and watch.”

she  really  was  worried  about  ariel  —  though  that  feeling  was  constant  &  ever - growing . the  youngest  seemed  to  get  into  the  most  trouble  out  of  all  of  them .  attina  gave  her  sister’s  shoulder  a  gentle  ,  reassuring  squeeze  before  pulling  her  hand  away .  ❛  i  promise .  ❜  she  read  the  next  lines  carefully  .  ❛  i  …  don’t  think  telling  him  would  be  the  best  thing  just  yet .  unless  we  have  no  other  option ,  okay ?  for  now  ,  we’ll  start  with  the  easiest .  maybe  there’s  someone  here  that  can  help  us  ?  ❜

There was a big sigh of relief that left her chest. It felt good to tell her sisster the truth. Ariel nodded eagerily, it was hope for Ariel. She was going to get her voice for Marna- and maybe be someone both kingdoms would be proud of. Ariel began to write a response when he heard the scream. She dropped her notebook in surprise. Ariel gestured for her sister to come with her. They had to know whats going on.

     gretel couldn’t help but laugh a little when the girl signed about shiny things, eyes sparkling — it reminded the huntress of his fondness for girl. ‘it is very interesting — so many people, so… luxurious.’ the mention of her not having a voice pulled her lips downwards. ariel didn’t deserve this, not at all, and gretel wished she could help. ‘i’m glad you’re having fun. is everything going okay?’ and she needed to think to reply to her next question. ‘i’m alright, worried about hansel but, it’s been okay.’

      Ariel began to smile. “There’s a lot of shiny things in Marna but not like this.” She signed before laughing. Ariel gently touched Gretel’s cheek. “It will be okay I promise.” Ariel nodded. “Everything is great! Just not used to dancing.” Ariel blushed in embarrassment. “Is everything okay with him?” Ariel signed with concern.

Ariel felt her cheeks turn red. She really was feeling the gravity of her situation. Ariel looked up surprised.She thought Attina would yell at her. “Really?” Ariel wrote down. Ariel shook her head. “Please don’t go to Ursula, she might make you lose your voice!” Ariel turned the page in her notebook. One more thought was in her head. “Will you tell father?”

      gretel was wondering if coming to the party was a good idea after all. it had started decent, though she couldn’t help but feel slightly out of place, eyes looking around for a familiar face. it took a while, but she suddenly felt a poke on her shoulder, eyes wide as she turned on her heel. a wide smile spread across her face, “ariel!” words falling from her lips before she signed back. ‘i didn’t know you’d be here! it’s great to see you as well. how are you?’

Ariel quickly hugged the huntress with the biggest smile on her face. Ariel began to smile once more. “It seemed so interesting,and this place looks so shiny” She signed as she gestired to the room. “Im doing good despite not having my voice.” She made a small heart with her hands. “How about you?”

“Ariel,” He murmured the mermaid’s name as he gently touched her elbow. The night was still young as Eric glanced about the crowd, torn between wanting to hide in a darkened corner and wanting to join the fray. There was something about the faeries that was… free. Uninhibited. “You look lovely.” It was the truth, but the words - the compliments - were hard to say. Purely because Eric did not have such a charming way like Naveen had, less smooth. But in the spirit of their hosts, Eric decided to let go - enough to waggle his brows at the redhead, gently bumping her shoulder with his.

Ariel felt the brief touch on her shoulder. It brought so many memories, even the lightest of touches made her feel excited. The way Eric said she looked lovely, even a bit awkward, brought the biggest smile to her face. Ariel returned the eyebrow wiggled and smirk. She took out her notebook. “You look very handsome ^^” Ariel scribbled on the paper. She blushed before turning the page. “How are you?”

Ariel lets herself walk around the dance floor. She didn’t want to spend the whole night eating. But at the same time, she couldn’t just talk to people- qute literally. She pouted as she walked another lap. She paused when she saw her friend. Ariel let herself smile. The princess walked towards her friend poking her shoulder. A small wave followed. 

“It’s so good to see you.” Ariel signed at Gretel.

attina  scanned  the  words  on  the  page  ,  huffing  as  she  prepared  herself  for  bad  news .  that  was  usually  the  case  with  ariel  ,  more  often  than  not .  the  youngest  was  indeed  the  most  troublesome  ,  even  if  she  didn’t  mean  to  be  .  attina  felt  guilty  that  she  didn’t  do  more  to  protect  her  sister .  ❛  well  what  is  it  ?  what’s  wrong  ?  ❜   the  mermaid  couldn’t  keep  the  concern  off  her  expression  or  out  of  her  voice  .

Ariel gulped at the look of concern. The more she saw it, the more Ariel though that she should have thought her plan through. Ariel quickly scribbled the note. “I went to Ursula to try to fix my voice but-” Ariel paused. “I may have lost it in the process.’ The mermaid quickly looked down, not wanting to she her sisters reaction.

Ariel paused as she looked at her sister. The issue wasn’t that she didn’t want to be near her- she was afraid what Attina would say. She might have said a little white lie to prevent herself from talking. She took a deep breath before she took out her note book. “I want to be with you too.” she wrote. “But theres something you should know.”
