My favourite Trigun Fandom thing by far is that there is so much fan art of Wolfwood wearing a black choker with his suit that I straight up thought it was part of his Canon attire despite watching the 1998 and 2023 series and never actually seeing it. This leads me to believe that either it happened somewhere once and the Fandom never forgot or it never happened anywhere and we all just unanimously agreed that he was coded that way

I love how in the episode when Conrad is talking about his experiments on humans and he mentions Wolfwood, Meryl goes “OUR WOLFWOOD?” with no hesitation, like - SHE HAS CLAIMED THESE BOYS, THEY ARE HERS, THIS IS HER FAMILY.

(episode 10 I think? this is the English dub, I need to recheck the sub)

I'm insane about Tristamp episode 8, actually.

The way that Vash's Plant-ness automatically marks him as sub-human and ties his worth, his freedom, and his dignity to what he can produce. The way he spends MONTHS locked in a room in cuffs. Everyone calls him a monster even though he acts like a child. Luida tries to reassure him, but couches it in language like "there must be *something* that makes you special". ( I remember this post that was about how Vash and Knives are both neurodivergent-coded, with Vash being the higher support twin). Vash's eating disorder fully codified as a coping mechanism that's tied to his survivor's guilt and his inferiority complex as a Plant who can't make anything. The way Vash SLAMS himself against the door when he hears the Plant is in pain. The way that Vash only starts getting treated well when he demonstrates that he can be of use!!!!!!!!!! VASH AS THE SIN-EATER FOR HIS ENTIRE SPECIES!!!!!!!!!!

In the English dub Luida calls what he does being a "doctor or a counselor" for the Plants. Biting biting biting biting. He's the emotional support twin.

And as soon as Vash's loyalty to humanity gets called into question, he becomes a monster again. His safety is tied to his usefulness and his harmlessness.
