throwback to that one time duke detain responded to my fanart on lego life

One of my kids was looking for the yellow pieces for literal days and I just figured out what they did with them.

They gave Duke a balloon. Couldn’t have done better myself. He deserves that balloon.

im going to start yapping. im writing a half-assed personal vent about lego city no limits duke.

(it would be good if you watched episode 6 of lcnl first)

basically a year after lca stopped production, there was this new show called lcnl. it occasionally featured lca characters. in episode 6, duke is introduced. and i don't know why, but his gravitas, personality and most notably, HIS VOICE changed for the worse. it's a dumpster fire to me.

this scene was the nastiest to me (episode 6):

duke is SITTING on a fellow officer. and the main thing that puts me off is that this contradicts duke's personality in lca.

in 'business is booming' (season 3), duke tells daisy off about having a personality like fendrich and that he doesn't recognise her persobality anymore after her burgeoning business, (he never said that, but for simplicity's sake, i'll just generalise his main idea), which if you haven't surmised already, duke's personality in lcnl contradicts his pre-existing personality in lca.

the only reason i'm fuming is because i don't know why they didn't just use his old personality (it feels more likable). because to me (hardcore duke kinnie), they SHOULD'VE stuck to it. i miss duke i miss duke i miss duke no wonder i went on a tiktok doom-scrolling session (lca tag) instead of catching up on sleep. where did duke go bromsmsbss
