Hunting the World of Warcraft with a weaponized S.E.L.F.I.E. cam and a heaping pile of nostalgia. One shot at a time.

Ul’dah. Where my adventure begins, for the first time, in my exit from Azeroth. Permanent? Who can say. After nearly two decades of playing WoW, I finally feel so abandoned by the dev team that I am having to seek out something else to fill the seat of comfort and adventure that World of Warcraft once filled.
Cooking in Raider.IO, implementing system after system to abandon every expansion, the archaic barriers preventing me from playing with my friends on the opposite faction, the lack of player housing, and what seems like the only concern of theirs funneling into a triad of PvP, Dungeons, and Raids... I just don’t care anymore.
I used to love immersing myself into the game. Taking pictures all over Azeroth. Exploring everything. But time and again, I hope for content they don’t implement. Cross faction play. Player housing. Permanent, relevant, continuity.
So, for now. Good bye Azeroth. There are totems in your honor spread across my home, and dear memories kept close to my heart. I hope something changes to bring me back to you in the future. But 9.1 is not that thing. Not even close. I’ve been gone for months now, and its imminent release doesn’t even begin to compete with how welcoming and comfortable Final Fantasy 14 has been.
The Hitchhikers Guide Out of Azeroth has begun. Welcome to Eorzea.

Behold all and despair. THE MAW WALKER.
(I felt it would be complimentary to use a crappy phone pic, all things considered. Long live Murder Hobos Inc. - Cenarion Circle)

Sometimes the color of a particular shot just catches me by surprise. It is amazing how much players take for granted. This is gorgeous.

NOT WORLD OF WARCRAFT RELATED. But I made a stupid thing for the occasion.

I am amazed sometimes at how rich the color schemes are for some parts of the game. While playing you may not appreciate just how much detail and love is put into setting a scene. Just look a how the dark reds flared up like fire toward the ceiling as it transforms into smokey blues and violets. It is just gorgeous.
