But intimacy with Nick and Abraham is more about just the closeness of being together than pleasure. Like they just appreciate being together and in each other's company more than anything. Feeling the warmth of each other and knowing the other is the love of their life.

Since Abraham is Ace it's a very rare thing for them but when they do they be careful and respectful of each other.

And Nick asks multiple times if Abraham wants to because he knows Abraham is Ace and doesn't want to make him uncomfortable

1. First impressions of each other?

Abraham thought Nick was annoying and Nicholas thought Abraham was unnecessarily mean, but didn't hate him.

2. Is it a casual relationship or true love? Or somewhere in between.

True love!!!! It's rough at first but they love each other so much that they're willing to make it work.

3. What was each others ‘oh shit I have feelings for him’ moment?’

Nick is honestly just a hopeless romantic, his oh shit I have feelings moment was just him coming to terms he feel for a grumpy guy that hated people (Abe changes later on dw)

Abraham realized after he kept losing sleep because he would just think about Nick. Also when they went out for the first time (not a date) Abraham learned that he kind of liked being around Nick.

4. Did either of them fight their feelings, or was it easy to accept?

Abraham was NOT happy to have feelings for Nick and completely ignored his feelings for weeks. Nick fell in love almost immediately, and accepted it pretty quickly.

5. When was their first ‘I love you’? What prompted it?

They were both kind of reluctant at first because they both didn't even know if it was gonna work out. They say it after a fight when they try to make up and talk afterwards. (I low-key keep switching around the 'I love you' , but I like this one)

6. Big spoon/ little spoon?

Nick is normally the big spoon because he's a big cuddler. He loves cuddles so he enjoys holding Abraham while they sleep.

7. Biggest obstacle in their relationship?

Anti-gay laws, history inspires me so I wanted to incorporate some queer history into their lore (it's not all completely accurate though as this is a fictional world and I only know so much). Abraham also has internalized homophobia.

8. What drew them to each other the most?

Abraham was drawn in by Nick’s soft and kind personality. Nick was drawn in by Abraham’s appearance and a desire to learn more about him.

9. How long until they started developing feelings for each other?

Nick feel in love in like a day and Abraham took a couple weeks. (Didn't accept it for a few months though).

10. Favourite quality about each other?

Abraham loves how passionate and patient Nick is, he loves how Nicholas is always himself despite what people say about him.

Nick likes how sweet Abraham is deep down, and how Abraham can express himself when he's comfortable. He also likes that Abraham is caring even if he isn't the best at showing it.

11. What song reminds them of each other?

Any song by Queen will remind Nick of Abraham because of how much queen Abraham listens to (I love projecting). Abraham associates the song 'Love of my Life' because he doesn't listen to much different music so he just goes off what he knows. His music tastes slowly expands through Nick since Nick listens to all sorts of music.

12. How do they wake up next to each other?

Nick is usually laying on Abraham’s chest or snuggling his side. Abraham just moves to how Nick wants to lay.

13. What do they do to cheer each other up on a bad day

Abraham will make Nick one of his favorite meals and hold him, because even though Abraham isn't fond of physical touch he knows Nick loves it. He also buys Nick gifts, either snacks or little trinkets.

Nick will take care of anything that needs to be done so that Abraham can just rest and take it easy. Since Nick can't cook he either orders food or takes Abraham out. If Abraham is having a really bad day Nick will stay in bed with him to keep him company.

14. Which one is more needy when they’re sick?

Nick 100%, although Abe is needy when he is sick he tries his best to just take care of himself.

15. Nicknames for each other.

Nicholas calls Abraham Abe or hun. Sometimes Hammy if he wants to piss Abraham off, he hates it. Babe once in a while but doesn't really like it

Abraham just calls Nick Nicky because he isn't a big fan of nicknames/ pet names.

Okay so my pookie(/p) gave me the BEST idea for a ramble about my Abraham but it was too much for an insta story so I’m posting it all here.

Warning before you read!!! Possible triggering topics: Abuse, eating disorders, neglect

The question: What’s something that has stuck with him since childhood?

I’ve got a few things (I’ll go more in depth with everything when I get to his backstory)

In canon Abraham is mentioned to be an accident so I wanted to expand on that with mine. During his childhood on the ARK he was abused (mainly verbally) by his parents because of him being an accident. His parents also call him a freak for his heterochromia. Other scientists on the ARK kind of just ignored him and didn’t want to get involved, especially since at that time child abuse was unfortunately normalized. The impact from these things was that it led to him having a poor self image, shame for his appearance and especially an insecurity with his eyes. He also feels guilt at times for being alive since his parents constantly treated him awfully just for his existence.

Another thing his parents did that hurt him relates to food. Sometimes Abraham’s parents wouldn’t allow him to eat, sometimes for an entire day or even a couple. Their excuse was that “only good children deserved to eat”. His parents were neglectful of this basic need as they treated as punishment. In many cases he wasn’t even bad, he tried his best to be a good kid, his parents just said it as an excuse, this led Abraham to believing nothing he did would be good enough. In the future this makes Abraham have an eating disorder, as he only eats if he feels he is deserving of food, even if he gets really hungry he still won’t eat. [when Nicholas finds out about it he tries his best to help Abraham with it, and he slowly starts eating more]

While Abraham lived in the ARK he was friends with Maria, although when Shadow came into the picture Maria stopped spending time with Abraham. As Maria was the only friend he had no one else to spend time with which made him isolated most of the time. Because of this he just read books to pass the time. After the ARK incident Abraham tries his best to avoid other kids and stay to himself, to avoid being bullied as well as having a fear of being replaced again. He doesn’t know how to properly interact with people as an adult, as he’s been alone for so long he didn’t really develop social skills. This makes it difficult for him to talk to people, which is why he continues to spend most of his time alone.

Traumatic things from childhood can stick with people for a LONG time, so yeah our boy is going through it. There’s no joy and whimsy for Abe./hj
