Arguably one of my strongest chapters in this fanfiction, I give you Chapter 11 - Anchor Point! This point in the story was one of the main reasons I was so excited to cover the earlier arcs. I went through all of that just to get here.

Oh, what have we here? Inoichi Yamanaka himself! What are he and Sasuke cooperating on, and perhaps more importantly, why?!

idk if this is an unhinged theory or like if it's disproven in canon or not (I just briefly scanned the wiki to check) but as soon as they said Torune's fathers name I always just assumed Torune was Shino's first cousin.

A LOT of clans have a naming convention within the head house. Inoichi, Ino, Inojin. Shikaku, Shikamaru, Shikadai. Choza, Choji, Chocho. The kamizuru (if you accept anime only content as canon) have [___]batchi, and the inuzuka are named after dog parts. The Hyuga have Hiashi, Hizashi, and Hinata. So following that, obviously, the aburame's was Shi[___], like Torune's father Shikuro.

Genuinely as soon as we get his name I just immediately assumed his father was Shibi's brother and Shino + Torune was a foil to Hinata + Neji, who were also in the cousins-but-more-like-siblings boat and the Hyuga focus on head vs branch families [and how Neji being orphaned was handled] being completely opposite to how Shibi took in Torune as his own with no questions asked. But we never get that plot thread, and I never see anyone else talking about it, so idk if I'm on some shit or what.
