Since my last one did so good, I decided to post more "Kurt Wagner would definitely say this" type quotes.
"They ask, "do you love her to death?"
I say, "speak of her over my grave and watch how she brings me back to life"."
- Mahmoud Darwish
"I thought you were my remedy but you've turned out to be my deadliest wound, my love"
- unknown
"If you've considered a woman less pure after you've touched her then maybe you should take a look at your hands"
- unknown
"I don't know how to become one with you. If you're heaven, then tell me - I will kneel to every god. If you're hell, then tell me - I will fill the earth with sin"
- Abdulla Pashew
"I want, in fact, more of you. In my mind I am dressing you with light; I am wrapping you up in blankets of complete acceptance and then I give myself to you. I long for you; I who usually long without longing, as though I am unconscious and absorbed in neutrality and apathy. I really, utterly long for every bit of you"
- Kafka

to add to the marcheron/religion stuff, on the road they put always put brad and patrice next to each other in the visitor's locker room. brad likes to stretch on the floor in front of his stall. constantly and I mean constantly you will see pics or clips from btb of brad on the floor right next to patrice's feet when they're getting ready for games. anyway they're two normal dudes I swear.
shut up shut up shut up shut up shutupshutup
I KNOW OKAY. I SUFFER FROM THIS KNOWLEDGE PERPETUALLY.
HE´S JUST A LITTLE GUY
and yes he IS sat directly in front of bergy's stall thanks for not asking. (4:00-5:30 minute mark)
all the locker room content makes me feel so insane because like
is no one else seeing this??? brad??? what are you- why would you-?? in front of the whole entire team, the cameras, and god?? this is obscene???
also I'm not sorry about any of this. you literally brought it upon yourself:
― Union, Abdulla Pashew
― As An Experiment, Kerry Banazek
― On Attention and Grace, Simone Weil
― Praise, Ilya Kaminsky
and I mean maybe this is just how everyone looks at Bergeron and that's probably fair but like
maybe stop???
for my sake?? please??

He says, I love u. Yet Abdulla Pashew once wrote,
“I don't know how to become one without you
If you're in heaven, then tell me, I will kneel to every God.
If you're in hell, then tell me, I will fill the earth with sin.”

ive been reading dictionary of midnight by abdulla pashew and in the meantime trying match the time when specific poems were written (since they are either outright referencing political situations or, even the 'love' poems are not entirely devoid of references) to important dates connected to kurdish indipendence and reading
I hear the cries of my nation.
I trust tomorrow’s world will be bright for I have seen childbirth:
it begins with kicking and screaming.
which was written 2 years before a warcrime against kurds in a broader act of genocide is so heartbreaking. even more so with the poem talking abt halabja the difference between the grim optimism of the former, and the absolute shock of the latter is (rightfully) intense to read
