Weird question, but how do cross species relationships work in your world? Can they have babies?

cross species relationships is one of the things that's considered a sin in their religion (perhaps not in all religions but at least in the one that's depicted in the story)

while same sex relationships can still pass as love in some communities, relationships between completely different animals will definitely be seen as lust everywhere

but as you guessed it didn't stop some from trying

so in some cases (that also work in our world) it's actually possible to have a child though you can imagine what kind of life and treatment in that kind of society a kid can expect. additionally hybrids are always infertile which will only prove that they were rejected by Gods

in most other cases - no, having a child just won't be possible genetically

That's Fern! She's a young grass fox (a fictional species) and probably the only friend the wanderer had in this whole country

(And that's (unless you're talking about the spot on her forehead) not a birthmark that's a burn but for the most of the story she doesn't have it)

In your opinion what would’ve healed Pauk? Be a genuine lover, never meeting Maric, standing up to his father and his expectations, etc.

not never meeting Maric for sure, Maric is a sick bastard but definitely not the core of his problems

if we're talking about pre-Maric Pauk then I really think that the only thing that could've saved him was a friend

he's not aggressive in nature, he was never cold towards people who tried to befriend him. in fact it's quite the oppositе he tried really hard to be friendly too. unfortunately he's way too socially awkward and mentally tired to make big steps and at some point people were just too exhausted to keep talking to him

his wife seems like a nice friend but in reality she was still trying to find her childhood friend in Pauk which didn't help much at all

Pauk's quiet, tall, thin, barely has any fur and his face is covered in acne scars which most people don't find very appealing so some never tried talking to him at all

but if he could find someone with a healthy worldview and enough energy for both of them then I think his life would've been very different

Hi I have a parent I’ve spent my whole life with who has BPD and I suspect a friend of mine I’ve known for a few years has it too but hasn’t been diagnosed. They go through the highs, lows, restless nights, manic cleaning bouts, getting very angry over small issues resulting in passive aggressive behavior and yelling and many partners that they immediately get very attached to without much time passing which usually ends in them being hurt and going into a deep depression again.

There’s more to their behavior that is nearly identical behavior to my parent which is why I’ve been thinking about this for a while.

I just want them to feel better but don’t know if it’s appropriate for me to or even how to suggest they should be checked for BPD. Any advice including telling me to forget it is fine. I worry for my friend and thank you for reading regardless of the answer.

please don't diagnose people yourself this is unethical

what you can suggest is to seek professional help to improve their mental health

just like in any other situation when a person struggles emotionally
