also a fun fact, when fruit/s bas/ket were getting translated and it came out that akito was a woman. they freaked out, because they thought they had mistranslated it. but instead, since akito’s gender was never really revealed through the untranslated manga akito had the they/them pronouns more than he/him.               SO YEAH, translators freaked out thinking they fucked up. but at the end of the day. but heck they didn’t mess up since everyone treated akito as a cis male, anyway.

talking about this, akito is born female is forced to be a male by her parents, the only people who know about akito’s gender is kureno, shigure, hatori and ayame since they’re older than her and the dream spoiled akito’s gender for them. anyway, long story short. crazy mother who didn’t want another woman in akito’s father’s heart, who was also meant to be this ‘great powerful deity in the curse’ took her feminity away from her and raised akito as a man, although akito has the brain of a woman, not the brain of a male ( so she isn’t trans, she’s basically being forced to be the other gender ) she was raised as a male since birth, without her say in it.
