“Japan this week elected its first transgender assemblywoman.

Ayako Fuchigami won one of four prefectural assembly seats on the island of Hokkaido, according to Asahi Shimbun.

‘I am representing minority people who face many difficulties every day. I feel the weight of their burden on my shoulders,’ the retired dancer told crowds said after winning the seat for Sapporo’s Higashi Ward district.

Fuchigami, endorsed by the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan, spoke out for LGBTI rights during her campaign.

Rights groups have called for Japan to dismantle laws that require citizens to undergo sterilization before legally changing gender.

What’s more, Japan does not recognize same-sex unions or have nationwide anti-discrimination legislation.

Seeing society reject colleagues at the club she performed once they retired spurred Fuchigami into politics.

‘I want to create a better world for minorities’ she said according to Asahi.

Sapporo city government is one of a number of regional administrations that offer limited rights to same-sex couples through ‘partnership certificates’.

Fuchigami reportedly wants to roll this out to the whole of Hokkaido.”

LIKE OH WORM?? I’m a cis woman with fuckin INVERTED hips they’re so narrow, a Hank Hill booty, chest hair straight off of a corny romance novel, and I have to contort my body like this to look at all curvaceous and even then I’m all tummy: 

I have muscular arms, a prominent brow, and broad shoulders. Weirdly enough, a LOT of cis women have these traits. Obviously I’m hairier than most, but that doesn’t change that 5 million women are “diagnosed” with “hirsutism” (basically a doctor told them they’re too hairy and marked it in their charts) PER YEAR. Nobody had any idea I was this hairy for 26 years, and there’s MILLIONS of cis women /just like me/.  TERFs are misogynists, plain and simple. Imagine living a life where you’re hated for being a lesbian, hated for being neurodivergent, hated for being fat, and hated for looking the way I do mostly by men and insecure women, only to have people who call themselves feminists describe your exact body with disgust while claiming to want to defend your specific group of people from predators or whatever the fuck LMFAO

Anyway, trans women, I love you all so much. I’m not going to gush about bravery or whatever the fuck, but just know I love y’all and don’t let anyone fucking tell you your body isn’t Woman enough.

This is Lani Ka'ahumanu, bisexual activist and co-founder of BiPOL, the first bisexual political organization in the United States.

Born to a Japanese and native Hawaiian mother and an Irish and Jewish father, she began her activism in the 1960’s in pro-civil rights and anti-Vietnam war protests. She identified as a lesbian and began her involvement in the LGBT liberation fighting for the rights of lesbian mothers. However, she would later fall in love with a (bisexual) man where she would realize her true sexuality. After a change in label, she felt shunned from mainstream lesbian and gay movement and began to push for bisexual visibility. She published the article “Biphobic: Some of my friends are” in a popular lesbian magazine in 1982 to spread awareness of biphobia within the lgbt community.

She launched a 12 city campaign for the inclusion of “bisexual” in the gay and lesbian march scheduled for 1993. Thanks to her efforts, it was renamed “March on Washington for Lesbian, Gay, and Bi Equal Rights and Liberation.” She was also scheduled as one of 18 speakers, taking her place as the only out bisexual on the panel.

Right before taking stage, she was told to cut her speech from 5 minutes to 2 because they had gone over time. She started with,

“Aloha, my name is Lani Ka’ahumanu, and it ain’t over til the bisexual speaks.”

She used her speaking time to raise awareness about the treatment of bisexuals and trans individuals, saying ..”recognition of bisexual orientation and transgender issues presents a challenge to assumptions not previously explored within the politics of gay liberation.”

Ka'ahumanu also considers herself to be a sex and body positive feminist. She created a “Peer Safer Slut Team” with Cianna Stewart, another activist, during the AIDS crisis to spread information through education workshops about safe sex for women and the lgbt community. held many educational workshops on safer sex

1993, she served as project coordinator for an American Foundation for AIDS Research grant awarded to Lyon-Martin Women’s Health Services. This is the first grant in U.S. to target young high risk lesbian and bi women for HIV/AIDS prevention/education research.

She co-authored “Bi Any Other Name: Bisexual People Speak Out” in 1991. This is largely considered the “bisexual bible” and helped kickstart the modern bisexual movement. She’s still alive today and doing work to promote bisexual activism and body positivity.

Does anyone else remember the time that Bryke was mad at the Avatar toyline? Because the company just kept demanding more and more ludicrous ideas for action figures? (But still refused to make female action figures.)

And one day, the company asked them to make a battle outfit for Aang.

And Bryke was just like, “…The airbenders were pacifists?”

And the toy company was like, “Just give us something!”

So Bryke literally told everyone in the studio to come up with all of these ridiculous ideas and they actually combined them all together and made this:

ok so with Hiveswap out ive been thinking about Homestuck a lot lot more. I refuse to let myself fall into the state of obsession I was once in but I had a thought and I couldn’t not share it. I was thinking about the role Zodiac signs play in Homestuck and that lead me to think about the Tarot. Where I had a realization, the 22 sburb players and the 22 major arcana have waaaaaaay too many similarities. Here’s my thought process:

John: “The Fool” not only is it the first Arcana but also John tends to know nothing as we mainly learn the rules of the universe through him. Also his character is mega centralized around comedy and practical humor, Sassacre’s text being the prime example.

Rose: “The Moon” this is due to her mysticism with dark yet benevolent forces such as the Horrorterrors as well as Grimdarkness

Dave: “The Hanged Man” the part of Dave’s classpect that makes him so powerful is his use of the Doomed Dave’s (prime example being Davesprite) existence. They can lead him in the right direction and assist him as well as harm him but they are always sentenced to death regardless.

Jade: “The World” her classpect manipulates the physical and spacial properties of the the universe, as well as her actions in minimizing the worlds of the inciphisphere and leading them to the new session.

Aradia: “Death” The role the concept of death plays in her character as well as her constant infatuation with the concept of funerals and corpses speaks enough.

Tavros: “The Chariot” so obviously Tavros uses a lance and a wheeled machine but beyond that, Tavros’ entire character development, as well as his role as a Page is based around moving forward and looking straight ahead.

Sollux: “The Lovers” a little less obvious but hear me out. Sollux’s whole character is centered around duality, and every major point of conflict for Sollux is based around failed romance, his matespritship with Aradia that lead to her death, as well as his budding moirallegience with Feferi that lead to her death, and his (½) death.

Karkat: “The Emperor” Karkat makes a very clear point in being the leader of the situation, his rancorous nature, as well as his strife specibus being sicklekind also speak to this.

Nepeta: “The Hermit” Nepeta often keeps herself isolated due to Equius’ wishes, she even lives in a cave.

Kanaya: “The Sun” this is due to her relationship with the green sun as a rainbow drinker as well as her being the only troll to ever enjoy sunlight.

Terezi: “Justice” I find this one is fairly obvious from her introduction scene with the scalemate trial as well as her confrontation with Vriska.

Vriska: “The Wheel of Fortune” her powers and her weapon both rely on her good fortune. Her strife specibus revolves around the idea of rolling a dice, or alternatively, spinning a wheel

Equius: “Strength” Not only is there the obvious implication in his muscles, but Equius always has infatuation with the strength of others, as to why he despises many lowbloods and refuses to lay a hand on highbloods.

Eridan: “The Magician” From the first moment we see Eridan he constantly refers to his hobby with magic, his strife specibus for a period of time is wandkind, and even though he states he doesn’t believe in magic, he also is known to state many other things about himself that are clearly denial. The part he plays as an angel slayer also brings black magic to mind.

Feferi: “The High Priestess” Originally I believed Feferi was the Empress but with more thought I find that role goes better toward another player. Feferi, although royal, never rules, instead she heals all, not just the royally blooded.

Jane: “The Empress” Her assosciation with the “batterwitch” and The Condensce, the real Empress of Alternia, is enough to speak to Jane being represented by the Empress Arcana.

Roxy: “Temperance” Her entire arc around recovering from alcoholism.

Dirk: “The Tower” His early character revolves around being hard to approach and distant from the rest of the group.

Jake: “The Hierophant” His intrigue with ancient ruins and treasure. His whole reputation as an adventurer really.

Calliope: “The Star” Kind and bright she supports the Alpha kids from afar and spreads positivity.

Caliborn: “Judgement” Lord English plays the role of a god-like figure, administering what ever it wants to do and believes it should.

Thoughts? It seems too damn convenient for it to just be a coincidence.
