KPop Demon Hunters has me in a chokehold as well. I initially had nothing to write about even though I wanted to write, but then I stumbled across some role swap designs and music, and inspiration just hit me. So here it is!

Chapter Snippet for a Kpop Demon Hunters Role Swap Fanfic because this movie has me in a chokehold (not proofread)

Far above the stadium and completely oblivious to their poor manager’s rising blood pressure and rapid growth of grey hairs, the boys in question were gathered around a table stacked sky-high with food in their private jet that was supposed to have landed an hour ago. Of course, they did not notice.

Three of them were too busy stuffing their faces.

One was in the bathroom making sure that his hair sat just right.

The last sat quietly, flicking lazily through a boring book he had bought at the last airport.

“Come on, Ro,” Abby shouted from his spot at the head of the table. “You’ve been in there for the past half-hour!”

“You can’t rush perfection!”

“An’ I ‘on’t ‘unt o ‘ear ‘ou ‘ing ‘out ‘eing ‘ungry ‘en ‘e het ‘ome,” Baby shouted back through a mouthful of cookies.

“What?”

“He said ‘and I don’t want to hear you whining about being hungry when we get home’,” Mystery translated, sipping his drink without a care in the world.

“Your ability to understand him will forever remain a mystery,” Jinu muttered, hiding his grin behind his cup of ramyeon. Baby screwed his nose up at the pun.

“Oooo, my pun senses are tingling!” Romance cheered, finally revealing himself with perfectly styled hair. “Who was it this time?”

“Who else?” Baby grumbled as Abby jumped from his spot and rushed to ruin Romance’s hair.

“Hey, HEY!” he cried, running down the aisle toward the petrified flight attendants. “Don’t ruin it again!”

Jinu opened his mouth to order Abby to sit back down when his phone rang. He didn’t need to look to know who it was.

“Hey, Bobby,” he started, holding it up to his ear while Baby shouted at the others to eat. “What’s up?”

“Don’t ‘Hey’ me!” Bobby cried. “What are yOU DOING?!”

Jinu winced, holding the phone away from his ear. No need to put him on speaker. No need to alert the other either, as they all gathered around him immediately.

“We’re just having our ritual pre-show evening meal,” Romance answered airily.

Bobby sputtered, eyes wide. “Pre-sho– What about the show-show?” he cried, shoving his phone in the direction of the screaming crowd. Jinu’s stomach flipped.

“Uh…”

He didn’t get the chance to answer as Bobby had moved a little too close to the excited crowd and had his phone snatched by a group of giggling girls.

“We love you, Huntrix!” they cheered as all five of them panicked to wipe the crumbs off their faces. With napkins of course. Baby especially jumped, switching his usual glare to his adorable persona.

Luckily the girls had their eyes closed just long enough for that.

“Thank you,” four of them cooed. Mystery only nodded.

They briefly saw the phone get snatched by a group of crying men before another grabbed it.

“Yo, I just got his!” he cheered, lifting up the side of his shirt to show a tattoo with their logo on it.

Everyone but Abby winced.

Thankfully, Bobby was able to snatch his phone back and retreat back stage before they could reply.

“Why are you so late?” Bobby wailed.

Abby blinked. “Late?” he repeated. Romance jumped out of his seat and peered out of the window.

“Uh oh,” he muttered.

“Fifty-thousand fans are waiting for you. They made cute signs and everything!”

Jinu and Abby joined Romance to see that they were nowhere near the airport and were rapidly getting further and further from the stage. They slowly turned to glare at the flight attendants that had already been frozen in place by Baby’s own furious glare.

Their smiles were too wide, they stood too stiffly. One still had a pitcher of coffee pouring onto a now very-dead plant. Jinu groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. How had he not noticed?!

“How can you be late?!” Bobby bemoaned in the background. “I wish you were here.”

“Stay calm, Bobby,” Mystery said soothingly. “We’ll be there in three,” he added before hanging up on the poor man.

Romance groaned. “Why do they always show up at the worse possible times? I didn’t even get to eat!”

“Told you,” Baby snapped, not taking his eyes off of the demons.

Abby rolled his eyes. “You would think they would learn to poison our food at this point,” he muttered.

“Don’t give them ideas,” Mystery scolded softly.

Jinu only frowned, listening to the Honmoon. It wasn’t weak, but they needed to get back to the fans. And fast. Even the weakest of demons like these ones were a threat to humanity.

He started to hum softly and it responded, thrumming in time with his heart beat. He grinned.

The demons whimpered, taking a step back.

They were about to learn a very important lesson.

Alright, so chapter 2 was re-written because I'm indecisive but I'm happy now. So NOW I'll get back to chapter 3. xD

I just know that their wedding is gonna round up looking like 'The Game' part 2. Or the part after they leave the bakery and Ceph wants revenge for being called ugly. One of the two.

Look, he may be insane, but he’s not stupid. Nachos is currently pissing him off for disregard of Nadia. I mean come one- Nadia herself said Ceph’s been better to her than those lot have been. Would he really leave her with someone she thinks is worse (caring and friendship-wise) than him - the guy that has never had a friend before?

Someone send help. I'm re-writing the first two chapters again. 😭 It's just that the second one was too exposition-y and I figured out how to better deliver it later and there were some minor changes I wanted to do to the first one. I'm driving myself mad.

Torchics are adorable~ but I have a soft spot for Chikorita. I don’t care that they’re the weakest starter of their Gen. They’re cute and that’s all that matters to me.

I mean- seeing how Ankaa has already been won over (maybe), she’s already forgiven in my book. (Although not her talking smack about Nadia right in front of Ceph IMMEDIATELY. 😭 Dying to know what she was saying, lol.)
