Consider a fictional creature; it’s a bit like a vampire, but instead of blood, it feeds on positive emotions.

The warnings any aspiring monster hunter would find all point to ill-willed, malicious creatures that can’t resist the allure of a wedding, or a birthday party, and will drain it dry in minutes.

But, in reality, those individuals make up only a tiny fragment of the population.  The majority of them spend their time as the most cheerful, uplifting people around, because, after all, the easiest way to steal positive emotions is to have plenty around.  They comprise some of the greatest chefs, some of the greatest friends, and for those of them who are extremely lucky, some of the greatest comedians around.

Because, after all, why sap someone of all their joy, when you can make the air fill with enough laughter that nobody will notice if a bit of it goes missing?

Small physical things that give your characters personality

How they smile

What their “tell” is for lying

Posture

Volume of speech, if they’re verbal

Nervous tics

How much eye contact do they make

In a group conversation, how close do they stand to others? Are they off to the side just listening and occasionally speaking or are they right next to people?

When standing, what do they do with their hands? Talk with their hands, cross their arms, put hands in pockets, prop up against the wall, etc

The sound of their footsteps

Nonverbal greetings: do they wave, nod, hug, glare, punch, high five, something else?

How do they get others’ attention? Raise hand, clear throat, etc

The next time you want to call a sequence “Well animated” do yourself a favour and rewatch it with the sound muted. Often times ir’s only after you remove sound from something that you can truly see if the animation underneath is actually good or not, or if the music/acting is manipulating you.

….but on that same note, “Well animated” does not mean “Fluidly animated”. Because something can be VERY well animated and have few frames if those frames are in the right place, or have a shit ton for frames and be badly animated because it’s over-animated and moves way too much.

Hello. It is two hours until 2019 here.

2018 was... A rollercoaster, I would want to believe. But mostly it was a free fall, deep deep down in abyss. It started in 2017, so I wasn't really surprised, but it still hurts as hell realising how many things I ruined for myself. Yet, sometimes, I was happy, and I think that matters the most.

Shen liking my "happy birthday" fanart, accompanied by a failure of kpopFANbruary and art block.

Getting into 3RACHA and Stray Kids, accompanied by failing the most important exam.

Disaster of graduation, painful goodbyes that never turned into hellos again. Failing to get in art uni, searching for anything I can study in, even if I hate everything about it.

New people, new friends that are worth keeping, yet I don't try to.

No scholarship, no money.

Some important people noticing me.

Hospital, neverending headaches, failing at studying, digging my own grave, trying to draw again. All those family disasters, trying to get a job, managing 6 people, and slowly forgetting about myself.. and drawing, creating, trying to, at least, so that I wouldn't forget why am I still here.

It wasn't a good year, yes. But it was the best it could have been. I did my best where I could do something. I'm not back to my rails, but at least I can feel where they are now, I have some kind of navigation.

2019 gonna start off with a difficult decision. I have to choose whether I try to study, or I drop out of my university to help my family even more.

Sometimes I just wish people won't give me second chances..

I remember PD talking about significance of using a pen or a pencil. That was around the time I just subscribed to them and followed them there, on twitter.

"The older we get, the less we use a pencil. I haven’t touched a pencil in 5 years. And I realize it’s an analogy for life. When you’re younger you use pencils because you can fix your mistakes. But when you’re older, like a pen, your choices are more permanent." @ formoftherapy

I still find this analogy beautiful, and sad. Because I don't like using pens. Using them can easily make me anxious.

And I have little confidence to do some drastic changes about my life, in pen, not in pencil.

Even when you drew a really strong line with a pencil, you can still erase it a bit. But if you try to erase pen, you will damage the paper much more, and if you're unlucky you can spread ink around it, making it even harder.

I think the only thing that I wrote in pen in my life is "I am not talented. I'm just stubborn on my way to be perfect".

That is one of the worst things you can say, and it destroys you, yet somehow it was helping me not to have my head over clouds about my possibilities before. Now it doesn't really work, but, yeah, that is one of the reasons why I want to use pencils instead.

There is another one that I decided when I was 12.

"Never have any regrets. Learn, discuss, think. But never regret. Because you will fall even deeper".

It works.

I'm back~

So have this pic I forgot to post as my excuses for skipping one TUXEMBER day.

Those are main Inu-s (Dogs) of Utopia. A shepherd, a cat, a fox, a mouse, a horse and a dhole.

Talking about personal stuff..

I am sick. I don't know what is it, but I feel extremly sick, and it is like that for two months already. My head hurts constantly, I can't sleep, so my schedule is literally fucked up.

I haven't been under sunlight for weeks already, because I faint fall asleep at 6AM, and wake up at 4PM everyday.

I draw TUXEMBER at night, watching PD's listening parties, go to bed, wake up, take my brother home, cook dinner, put dishes in a dishwasher, post TUXEMBER at midnight, and the cycle continues. It was like that for two months. The last one was the hardest, because my mother is in the hospital, and my sister is a good student trying to pass her midterms. So now I am responsible for everything.

I am supposed to have midterms, too. I have to study and go to my uni, but I stopped almost immediately after I checked out of hospital two months ago, and it is midterms time. I can't study, and I can't make myself go there.

I can't do anything.

I can't talk to my friends. I actually cut all the strings I could, now I'm just waiting for them to disappear completely. Just because everyone asks 'how is your uni life?', and I don't know what answer I am supposed to give them.

I feel so miserable.. everything around is overwhelming for me, and I can't get a hold of what am I supposed to do. And I'm becoming an adult literally next week, so that's another spoon of salt in my tea.

I dunno.

This is me being pathetic, again.

I'll try my best with Tuxember. I'll try my hardest not to give up at least on my lacking artistic skills, if I already gave up my live as a normally functioning human being.
