things that could be better

the picture could be clearer       maybe a different magnifying glass would help?

we put it back to the original position and super glued it (so you know it’s permanent) and it’s looking pretty clear! GO US!!

then we tried moving our phone further back to see if that would make a difference but once again, it only made it blurrier

We tried seeing if moving the phone closer to the magnifying glass would make the picture clearer, but it ended up making the whole thing even more distorted than we originally started with!

the magnifying glass kept moving so we reinforced it with super glue. I knew super glue would never fail us!

It’s a little blurry but overall it works pretty well! We found that you had to turn your brightness all the way up and be pretty close to the wall in order for it to be clear. The video is also upside down but I’m pretty sure all you have to do to fix that is play your video upside down! 

It sucks that we can’t screen it from further away but I’m sure if we got a different magnifying glass we’d be able to form a bigger, better picture.

this is how it’s looking so far. We secured the magnifying glass with tape and made a makeshift stand out of the side of the show box! So far everything seems to be going well!

STEPS: 

obtain the materials 

outline and cut a hole big enough for the magnifying glass 

secure the magnifying glass in place with tape 

create a mini phone stand 

place phone in box with video playing

WE’VE FINALLY DECIDED

okay guys! We’ve finally decided to go with a screen projector for our phones!!

the disco ball idea was cool and all but i don't think it fits well with our project

ok so other ideas?

a) game board: mcmaster monopoly. we could make it kind of like monopoly where you try to lead (own) as many clubs as you can 

b) an ad billboard.  we could make it out of glow sticks. Steve has a blacklight as well as a broken lamp so maybe that’ll make it look even cooler or we can find a way to integrate it? 

c) we could cut cardboard paper into long rows and tape them into a box shape. that way we could move each individual row at the very least?
