Top: unused "water drop" battle transition effect found in the files of Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. Note that the screen flashing red for a single frame is a side effect present even on original DS hardware.
Bottom: the glitched frame, isolated. It is unknown if the glitched frame is present due to the effect being unfinished, or conversely, whether the effect went unused because it caused a graphical glitch.

#sth#animated#gif#shadow#emerl#ugh some of the animation in these shorts looked really good but most parts just got that 3D animated stank to them#i think the 2D drawn over 3D animation looks fine on Emerl. imo it looks good when you do with robots#but its so noticeable and kinda ugly on shadow and maria.#cause I know a 2D animator would've made the shape language in some of these angles look better#and if you're gonna do 3D for most of it then just go full 3D. just feels kinda cheap otherwise.#oh well. there is other animation.
