dude dream and georges lives and careers are forever intertwined, and they spend 16+ hours on calls where they’re not even always talking, they’re just existing in each other’s presence because it’s comforting and that’s just the type of relationship they have, and george wants to leave the place where he’s spent his entire 24 years of life at to move cross-continentally to be with dream who he’s never met irl before because that’s how much trust and love he has for him, and they once six years ago they interacted on the INTERNET where there are 4.8 billion users daily, while 4,000 miles and an ocean apart, but it didn’t lead anywhere so the universe gave them a second chance and they bumped into each other on the internet AGAIN and now they’re here, and they’re astrologically quite LITERALLY soulmates, with so many statistically absolutely insane conjunctions that seem next to impossible knowing how little of a chance they had to meet, and are now best friends who’ve built their lives and futures around each other and that’s so fucking beautiful to me holy shit. do y’all know how lucky we are to be watching their love unfold?

some thoughts on the q lore stream a day later:

of course george’s appearance immediately became a favourite to the point that it actually made me cry as i was watching it live. like first of all i’m incredibly happy to see george have a very important role in one of q’s big planned out lore streams. i’m being completely honest when i say george has a Huge Presence in whatever stream he’s in - be it lore or not. in this case, his overall demeanor and dialogue was just so effective. that one second we see of him staring motionlessly (almost longingly?) at the front of the prison gave me way too much brainrot. it’s the george brand of subtlety and intimacy and i’m not even romanticizing it (yet). it’s not even from his perspective! yet it’s so effective to gay people who look into things too much (me). but seriously just the fact that he’s there says so much i think. a picture paint a thousand words and all. and then in true george fashion, the moment he sees q, he immediately goes back to ‘popping off’ mode. his worries? fears? (yearning?) forgotten immediately. but of course it has to be in the back of his mind constantly or else he wouldn’t be standing there… waiting? for something? someone? he wouldn’t be dreaming of him.

but the real kicker for me is their conversation. there’s a noticeable pause in their ‘popping off’ when we can clearly see two… how do i say this… broken? left-behind? people. i think showing george in front of the prison at the beginning was so effective because it reminded the audience that he’s just as much a victim… a side effect… of what’s happened in the server so far. much like quackity. except quackity has resorted to violence (though he hasn’t forgotten to be kind which is very important) and george has resorted to… sleeping and dreaming and flirting with god. but yeah q is more obvious about his pain and the feeling he has of being left behind (by his boyfriends no less) and it sucks even more when he starts talking to george about las nevadas and how he carved out places for them in it just as he’s getting hit with the reality that they already made their own country… without him. he focuses on that part. without him. george remains nonchalant maybe a little uncomfortable or awkward but he does offer some type of sympathy. he offers a bridge between q and his boyfriends (does he wish he was offered the same compromise with regards to dream? we’ll never know). but it all feels as if that’s not important to quackity right now…

man. i think this lore flashback leading up to the events of the prison visit (which i’m assuming is the visit he meant in this recent stream?) gave all the context needed to understand the characters’ motivations but most especially quackity’s. i really do have to commend quackity for constantly outdoing himself and for genuinely having so much heart and love for his character. everything matters. it’s so satisfying.

On Geogres lore stream (his pov) he found out about the destruction of El Rapids. This means that his and Quackitys meeting outside the prison occured before George and DreamXD became bound. This explains the absence of netherite.

I wonder though, if this new relationship with XD has impacted Georges nightly prison visits? Perhaps he feels closer to Dream than ever in his dreams. Closer than an obsidian wall between them at the very least.

However, I still believe the next time we see George will be in the prison. Perhaps XD snapped at George constantly misnaming him and gave him the final push towards the visit. If XD is a part of Dream it could all be a rouse to finally get George in close proximity, where they can talk. Where Dream himself can try and win Geogre back on his side. An ally.

Another part of me sees XD too much as his own entity. He seems to harbor a desire for george's friendship either from past Dreams wishes or for his own want of a companion. The other half of him encompasses his godly being as a whole. It's clear this half's true goal was a link to their world and not a new friend.

That being said, although intense at times, the darker side only threatened George when it was clear he was trying to gain something. Neither side indicated bad intentions towards George unprompted. It raises the question would XD step in if he saw Dream try and manipulate George? Or would he relish in the fact the other part of him is finally getting some level of power back.
