The catastrophizing gets directed away from my own life and onto the blorbo’s. So instead of “what if this terrible thing happened to me?” it’s “what if this terrible thing happened to blorbo? Wouldn’t that be neat and possibly even sexy?” MUCH better

the human mind is prone to catastrophizing when left unoccupied. And that’s why it’s important to always have a little Blorbo to rotate in your head. It acts as a protective charm of sorts to redirect your imagination away from harmful spirals

Consideration: perhaps Eddie did NOT book a last minute flight for Chris and call Texas in the middle of the night to arrange things. Perhaps he had already booked it before the fight ever happened (because he wants to test if Chris would be willing to move back by having him visit) and that’s part of why he was so insistent that HE was going to get the groceries—so he could pick stuff up for Chris/buy ingredients for the reunion dinner.

I need a scene between Eddie and Pepa where she says something like “I didn’t want you to be alone. But you haven’t been, have you?” And then leaves Eddie to stew in the implications. It can be canon or fanfic; I’m not picky.

I’m obsessed with the fact that multiple times this season now we’ve gotten to see buddie fights play out specifically with Eddie throwing around the “you make things all about you” line and I will always maintain that that does not reflect absolute reality (although Buck can be self centered sometimes, as can we all) but is actually Eddie saying, I resent that you can so easily allow yourself to be loud and obvious about your pain while I MUST™️ lock mine away deep inside and I can only let it out under the guise of anger at you (my best friend who I know will forgive me) I love them both so much 🥰
