Tried to draw an older version of Chamel. Originally I didn’t change his clothes at all, but that didn’t look right for him as older so I modified them (and his hair) til I was happy with the design.

I worked on this for 75 million years. XD Cel shading and clean lines still take me so long, it’s no wonder I usually stick to sketchy stuff.

Demain, my Babidi-race OC, who also happens to be my only fully developed DB OC. One of these days I’ll make an actual reference sheet explaining him better, and dig up the old fanfiction I wrote with him in it… maybe. XD He’s Babidi’s rival, a jerkwad villain who never really mastered his magical powers on the same level as his peers.

1. Old man Demain in the modern era, infiltrating the Time Patrol with eeeeeevil plans in mind.

2. Young Demain in ancient times, learning and working on his magic skills in Heaven in the company of Kais and other wizards.

3. Young Demain as a regular demon, just because I thought it would be a fun concept to draw- not something that has anything to do with his actual story.

Redrew this Gogeta (from the end credits of DBS Broly) as Hearts- got the idea since his outfit works perfect for the pose. *Mostly* trying to copy the movie’s art style, but not 100 percent. I love this shading style because it’s so much simpler than I would’ve thought to do on my own (i.e. easy to emulate) and the lineart style because it’s similar to what I’ve been doing with pen lately (so, also relatively easy). For these reasons, and the fact that I love this art style, I’d like to do more redraws of frames from this movie.

So, where the real work went into this- the original pencil sketch took me maybe 7 hours? Just getting it to look right. Inking was fast, but I did it twice (and chose the best one for scanning purposes), and had to fix all the big errors in it digitally. And coloring/shading just always takes me forever. I’m also gonna add that my shading looks horrid if I don’t use a reference.

Many layers of media went into this- two sheets of paper, pencil, dip pen, printer ink, Photoshop Elements, and SAI.

1. SSG Trunks screams over the horror of the ugly hand that I cropped off (to save you from having to witness it). 2. Chronoa brainwashed by Mechikabura- they brought this design back to the cards unrelated to Heroes’ current plot, so I was reminded of it. 3. Putine- I sinned and forgot to draw the earrings she has in the manga because I was referencing an anime screenshot for this. D'oh. 4. Salsa- every time I draw him lately he’s like “FML” and I can’t blame him the way this year is going. I need a vacation too!

Trunks and Salsa are dip pen; Chro and Putine are brush pen. Colored in SAI as usual.

Quick pen sketch of Demigra’s latest super sick redesign. His shirt details are way off and I messed up the signature date since I can’t erase (I picked up some wite-out yesterday, so hopefully that helps next time XD).

Sharpies and gold/red ink for colors (this red ink is shittier than I remember it being, it didn’t work well for coloring here).
