i am panicking just a little right now thinking that maybe the sims 4 and this blog was all just a very long and very expensive hyper fixation that i am coming out of

i am so bored with the sims lately. i feel like my Time is finally coming 🥺

i’ve been building a lot for bean for months now, trying to make sure she has all the things she needs (mainly plants and a robotics station) but i’m utterly stuck on the gardening situation. bean is a green thumb—quite literally—she loves the feel of fresh dirt in her hands, patting it down around a new seedling, a new sprig of life. and when she waters it the smell of the dirt becomes even greater, something so intrinsically a part of herself as if she once came from the ground and will one day return to it.

seasons however completely messes gardening up for me and it’s infuriating because i don’t always want a greenhouse and i don’t want to be replanting every season because even the longest option for each season’s duration isn’t long enough for me to actually want to invest in seasonal planting and planning it all out.

i just want an open garden. dirt and a little fence. plants growing under the sun. plants that are grown and tended to and loved by an alien. why can’t i just grow what ever seeds i want when i want? its really not that far fetched a thought when the same game allows me to grow a plant that looks like a cow head and eats cake (or sims if not appeased).

the idea of using an invisible shelter came up but i’m not skilled or knowledgeable enough to work out how to make one myself and the only one i could find already out there (part of ravasheen’s filthy fabulous set) doesn’t affect plants at all.

anyway, i haven’t found a solution i can live and play with. a glass roof is ugly and casts a shadow over the garden plots. the pergolas and awnings ea offer that are supposed to also class as shelter just straight up don’t work. at this point i might as well just put bushes in the area and pretend they’re crops 🤷🏼‍♀️

if anyone has any ideas or advice on what i can do here then please share!! if not that’s fine, this sorta turned into a vent anyway 😅

infinity nikki on pc is way better than i expected !! the graphics are so beautiful but it still plays well (i haven’t turned rtx on yet tho) and the music is absolutely stunning.

i have a bad history with the nikki games tho and hyper fixating on them and spending too much money on pixel dresses…

i am currently trying to do far too many things at once:

1 - set up a save of young bean and pinto and have their mum try out the new jewellery making stuff

2 - set up a save of current bean to have her trying out the home hustle pack

3 - set up a supernatural legacy (probs won't post it, or if i do it will be on a sideblog? idk)

but once i have sorted at least one of these saves enough to start playing i want to start posting again !! there are so many aspects of the gameplay that i just haven't explored yet that i'm actually excited to play for the first time in forever 🌱

the only problem is my own damn ocd arse that makes me genuinely freak out when the colours don't match right like last night when i was trying to build and none of the white windows and doors were the exact same shade of white (:

beware of hidden curseforge links

some creators have been hiding curseforge downloads in their patreon posts. if you're getting something from patreon it should be a direct download in patreon itself, you can find the files at the bottom of each post with the file's name, like this:

if a creator is not doing this but instead having a "download" link that quickly opens a new tab and closes immediately, this is most likely to be a curseforge redirect. to avoid this, you can right click the download link and click "copy link". then paste this somewhere, if you see either "curseforge" or "forgecdn", this means it is redirecting you to curseforge without any warning. you can let me know if you find something like this so i can reupload this content to sfs.
