killing eve (2018-?) - out of context #2 - an absolute mess

This one was a little bit more challenging to do than I thought it would be – and that was mostly in all the detail (RIP) ,as well as figuring out ways to adapt a Klimt-esque look to Howl. It was really tempting to put him in his pink jacket since it lends itself to rectangular form so well. However I just had to go and make things difficult for myself… because I love his transformed version!

i love so much that revolutionary girl utena is a story about gay love destroying the world. exactly as it was feared and forewarned that kind of non-compliance with the structure would. but it’s because this “world” is so regressive and so limiting as to not be able to contain it. it’s not the moral fault of their love but of a world that is built so intolerant of it and that grows fearful of it because it has the potential to overturn the established status quo. the destruction of the “world” is not actually the destruction of everything, despite what they’ve believed - a world will continue to exist outside of this manmade structure. this isn’t the only way things have to be. anyway, happy Take My Revolution tuesday
