the idea that restrooms, locker rooms, etc need to be single-sex spaces in order for women to be safe is patriarchy's way of signalling to men & boys that society doesn't expect them to behave themselves around women. it is directly antifeminist. it would be antifeminist even if trans people did not exist. a feminist society would demand that women should be safe in all spaces even when there are men there.

The fucking hilarious thing about any discourse is that it's always the exact same thing. Nothing changes. Nothing's been accomplished over the years.

I've been on this platform for 10 years and every now and then some discourse sneaks its way on my dashboard and it's the exact same shit it was 6 years ago.

Why do people even bother trying to police other folk's sexualities in the first place? Like, yeah some folks are gonna express their orientations differently than others and honestly, that's fine. So I ain't got an idea why stuff that's different that what they're doing is an issue to these people.

I'm really tired of the trend of using one's desire (or lack of) to put their mouth anywhere as a measure of sexual orientation.

Some people don't do oral or open mouth kissing, and it doesn't mean they're incapable of attraction. It has no correlation with attraction at all. You can love someone and want to have sex with them without it including any oral activities on either side.

Y'all are fucking obsessed with trying to performatively out-queer each other, and it only hurts the whole community in the end.
