i'm begging mutuals on roleplay blogs to start interacting. most people for what i have seen, are super comfortable with memes being the first shape of interaction, and the odd starter call too. like them, send various memes to get options.

this goes to single blogs but also multimuse blogs. i promise you, as someone with a lot of multimuse blogs, sometimes just giving a few names is enough for people to try on those muses.

interact with your mutuals. like their post, make jokes on their ooc post if that's how you feel more comfortable, share a pic or two, maybe discord. but for the gods sake, send memes, like starter calls, specially when it's encouraged.

i promise you people won't reject you.

This is a gentle reminder that roleplay is not a competition.

You don’t have to have the most followers, the most drafts, the most asks, the most enthusiastic fanbase, the most love for your muse, the most eloquent word choice or whatever else people might be using to draw the line between quality potatoes and potato quality these days.   We’re all here for different reasons. Some of us want an escape. Some of us like creating something with our friends. Some of us want to improve at our craft. Some of us want to spend time with characters we love. Some of us are just blindly trying to figure out what it is we like by hurling ourselves at hobbies until something sticks. And you know what? That’s all okay. Do not feel so deeply compelled to assert your own worthiness that you diminish the values of those around you. It’s the season for kindness and consideration, so take a step back, breathe, and remember that we’re all just nerds spending time shoving fictional characters at each other. None of us are in a position to throw stones, nor should we if, by chance, we were. Such behavior ruins everyone’s good time.  You don’t have to prove yourself, nor do you have to place anyone else in a position where they feel like they should.

please make sure that wherever you’re at in life, you don’t treat it like a transitory period. don’t waste your college years wishing to already be graduated & have a job. don’t waste your single years wishing for someone to be in love with. if/when those things come, they will come in due time and they will be good. but there is nothing like looking back and feeling empty because you wasted literal years ignoring what you had because you were hoping for something better. while it’s important to better yourself and reach for your goals, don’t neglect the present because that’s where you are now and it’s your now that determines your future.

help people push their promos. please. i know that the icon promo trend made it easier to just like to show interest, but liking on tunglr does literally nothing from an algorithm stand point. liking does not promote their blog, liking does not show it to more people, liking fundamentally is just a little heart that shoves that liked post into your likes to be forgotten about. liking something on this site is pretty useless.

it is unhelpful when an rper is trying to open up to new interactions & followers when their promo is never reblogged. please consider reblogging more & liking less, it helps a ton & makes the effort someone puts into promoting their blog worth it.
