I find the hardest thing in omo for me is creating actually realistic scenarios where characters would wet themselves

even for the shyest and or proudest or most tsundere characters, if there is an available bathroom and the only barrier is saying to their friends “hey I’m gonna go to the bathroom rq” I feel like there’s enough time in between desperation and outright pissing your pants that a character will realize asking for a bathroom break will be a lesser blow to their pride than literally pissing themself

and like, this less applies to scenarios where there isn’t an available option, but I still feel like if I knew I was going to piss myself then I would decide that any option I can find is better than literally pissing myself

plus, realistically making enough time that they wouldn’t have access to a toilet for them to get to that point

though, this does come from my perspective as someone who has zero trouble holding it even when I have to pee really bad, so its probably different for other people. this isn’t accounting for medical conditions or extreme social anxiety, this is just about your average person with an average bladder

someone laying in bed at night and they're super cozy but have to pee so bad. they try to hold it and convince themselves they can just fall asleep and wait until morning.. but there's no chance. they have to get up from the warm bed and pee. it's pitch black in the apartment, their roommate is asleep, so they creep out into the hall to get to the bathroom and SURPRISE they bump into their roommate in the dark -- they were also on the way to the bathroom -- and this scares them SO BADLY that the roommate turns on the hall light just in time to see them wet their pants

Some of my fav omo/omu things:

When a character keeps insisting they don't need to use the toilet until it's too late and they end up having an accident

When a character gets so caught up in an activity they're doing that they don't realize their bladder's full and they have an accident

When character A insists to character B they don't need a diaper, they can handle themselves fine. B relents and they go out together, but A has an accident. B brought along a fresh diaper for them because they knew that would happen 🥺

Character A wants attention from character B, but they're busy. A wets on purpose so B will stop what they're doing and help them.

Characters relieving themselves in unconventional places (potted plants, outdoors, bottles) and making a huge mess because the toilet's out of order.

Characters that flop into bed, exhausted after a long day, accidentally wetting because they're so relaxed and too tired to get up/hold it in

Consider for a moment the potential in a character whose sole purpose is to annoy others. They're the comic relief character, they're the one you don't 100% care too much about (unless you're awesome and love unimportant-to-the-plot characters)

Imagine this character having an accident, and instead of their usual "oops I done summin stupid again" demeanor they get. Legitimately upset. They're not okay. And the main characters get to see them outside of being annoying. Like I'm sorry but the pissibilities are endless.

Sick characters who are stubborn and stay up when they should be resting and it wears them out so much they just collapse. Their bladder is exhausted too and they wet themselves wherever they decided to pass out.

Sick characters who work at home while they're sick but actively try to get better too so they're drinking lots of tea and consuming soup and they're so tired that another trip out of the room would be too much, but they have to pee. They get up to try and go and it just ends badly.

Alternatively, they pass out finally and their full bladder doesn't like it.

Sick characters who actually get rest but live alone. They get too weak to leave the bed and have to just let nature take its course, then either stay in the wet bed or get up once they're slightly stronger and clean it up

Sick characters who don't even realize they've begun to wet because they're freezing and the warmth is comforting until they register.
