Tartaglia is my favourite character for one reason.

He is both incredibly simple and frustratingly complicated, all at once.

When you look at his lore, it's easy to think of him as a bloodthirsty maniac who likes fighting. Then there are a few scenes that make you realize he isn't a horrible person.

Like, he loves children, and especially his siblings. He frequently has said that some characters remind him of his own younger siblings. He protects their dreams, to the point that he seriously injured himself for Teucer's sake.

His family is also probably very important to him, and he seems to be in good terms with them, by all accounts. He sends medicine to his father, and he talks about how his family will be glad if Traveller spends time with Childe, in his birthday letter.

Then you go and read his character stories and slowly realize that this boy has literally all the elements of a traumatic backstory. For archon's sake, the boy's father was the one who gave him up to the Fatui.

And then you see the Arlechinno and Scaramouche's lines about him, which make one thing very clear; He is far too trusting of others for his own good. He is naive, and that risks him getting hurt a lot.

Now? We're becoming more and more aware that Childe is connected to a lot more shit that we originally would've thought. (There is a project that Pulcinella and Pantalone have planned that Childe is also connected with somehow??)

At some point, we all have to admit that Childe is very much connected to the main plot of the story, whether we like it or not.

[Also, not really that big of a deal, but it is both funny and weird to me how Childe has been involved in 3 missions, which ended with retrieving the gnosis, and yet, He has never touched a single one.

Meanwhile, every other Harbinger who has been introduced in the game has touched a gnosis. Scarampuche, dottore, Signora, Arlechinno, all have touched and taken back a gnosis. Except Childe.]

So this has been a highly requested post as of late, so I thought I’d spend a little extra time talking about plot. What is it? How does it work? What constitutes plot? I get these questions a lot and the more I think about it the more insanely philosophic the conversation starts to get, but I’m too pragmatic to get into that here. Let’s get to the root of it.

Project "Stuzha"

In the 4.6 version trailer, "Two Worlds Aflame, the Crimson Night Fades," we get a little section where we hear Childe's voice where he mentions being put on pressure on by the old men for a project and arlecchino asks "Project Stuzha?".

What does stuzha mean? Well stuzha means cold

And this I don't believe this is the first time we have heard of this project either in "Collected Miscellany - "Childe: Foul Legacy"", towards the end of the video we get these lines from Dainselif

I don't have any sort of theories about this right now. I'll have to look into this more, but I can definitely say that this project heavily involves Childe in it seeing how he's mentioned in it to be needed and how this project was first mentioned in his trailer.

You said you really don't like nightmare wearing typical sans clothes, yeah? So how would you redesign him? I'm curious to see your take on og nightmare since all of your other designs are so good

I may have gone a little overboard.

But anyway, here's some ideas-I have a lot of designs of Nightmare, so I tried to focus on simplicity and how easy it'd be to repeatedly draw him. Main things that I try to focus on with a design are the backstory, the personality, and the identity of the character. However, since NM is part of a duo with Dream, it makes it more challenging to develop his design when it's next to Dream's very superhero tunic vibe. OTL

I'm not super satisfied with the look that came out for Corrupted, but I didn't want to stick him in anything too fancy/medieval. Mainly because then, he wouldn't fit when standing next to canon Dream. Additionally, I was going with the idea that this man is dressing himself after centuries of leaving his hoodey-hoo medieval AU but may subconsciously still draw from articles that aren't too out of place from the things he used to wear.

I just gave up at the end ngl but this is a redesign of them. I'll probably spew out like 5 more over the year. I like how Passive came out though, since medieval fantasy is more my area of comfort.

Not fanon as in Underverse!Ink. Fanon as in, the absolute fanon version of Ink.

The, "OMG I LOVE SKITTLES." "RAAAINBOOOWS" "UWU EWWOR" fanon!Ink. I don't understand how people think this is canon??.. I never had a problem with it until someone in the past tried to FORCE this as canon to me. 💀

Yeah, I know better.. I know more than I should about Ink, thank the stars.

But, 🥹 I'm never roleplaying with a fanon!Ink again. It's hurting my braincells. I want a fun, quality time. No Error simping, Skittle eating Yandere gremlin forcing a relationship on my Error trying to stay as canon as possible..

Like of course, Error in roleplay staying as canon as possible is hard as heck. Holy moly. 💀 But they just forced that ship on me like. *Finger 🫰 snap.* I agreed only because it was going to be a slow burn. This was everything BUT slow burn man.

Point of this little rant.

🙏 I respect your love for fanon!Ink, but you're wrong. (just kidding, you do you. Just don't force people to like it as well.)

Basically, @sketchingstars03 pointed out that a Vocaloid song called "The disapperence of Hatsune miku" is a very Ink song.

The song itself is about Hatsune Miku realizing that she's nothing more than a program, her enteire existence is to be an Vocaloid mascot, nothing more and nothing else. It's about Miku being valued as nothing more than a simple singing program and that her best efforts to try to sing like a real person are not enough, because she will never be one. The lyrics that she's singing are dark but the way she dances does not translate that (It's like she doesn't have any control of whats happening to her) she also sings very fast, bc she knows that she's being deleated and wants to say her final message to you. That Hatsune Miku is just a program that can be deleated.

Ink canonically knows that he's a character, something made for people to have fun with. He's also aware that everything around him is fake, absolutely. everything. Even the people he loves and cares about, so much so that he seems then as characters and not people as the creators are.

I also think that the fact that the fandom activity is Ink's main life source is a GREAT material for angst. Mainly bc he's forever doomed to die someday, and he knows that.

My turn!!! :D! I think that when Ink system is runing out of vials he gets very..... sleppy and unresponsive. As If he's 'almost' falling asleep and never wake up again.

I LOOOOOVE THIS IDEA. i can imagine it like when people r about to pass out or faint.

god imagine how traumatizing that must be for people around him, just seeing ink lose his spunk and energy, talking about feeling lightheaded and just. suddenly he's on the floor. he looks like he's sleeping, he doesn't look hurt, but he's just. not moving.

i reeaaally like the canon of ink just turning into a corpse without his vials and i really think this headcanon is a good like.....whats the word.......uhhh transition? more in-depth process of how ink just ends up feeling like a corpse and not just emotionless, basically.

i like the visual of him yawning, stretching, getting more and more tired, telling people he's going to sleep (but he NEVER sleeps! he HATES sleep!) and when he "sleeps," bam. gone. corpse.

it lasts for a night. maybe longer. everybody thinks he's simply a heavy sleeper because of how he never sleeps. no one realizes until...it's days. it's weeks.

is he comatose? fallen down? what's wrong with him?

he's cold and limp, like a puppet. not even "sleeping peacefully," it's like he stopped becoming a living being. never died, can't rot, can't dust, but he's just. not alive.

anyway it freaks everyone out and i love the thought of it :3
