We must be an alternate universe, he thought. No other explanation.

Meanwhile, the Smiler had turned his attention to the girl. "Thanks, miss. And yer cute an' all! And-" He gasped as he heard the door creak open, turning his head to the boy peeking in. "AND YOU ARE REALLY CUTE!"

Without a moment's warning, the Smiler spun around and started rushing towards the boy in a manner that was both playful and creepy. He stopped short of actually running into the boy and squeaked, "HI!"

Smiler> I 'eard somebody from dis "project" likes ponies. Well, heh, I like people! Tee hee~! Tell da bloke I said 'ello, alright?

"Oiii, Blivy! This pony says hello!" Air called out and waved to the dark haired Weapon.

Oblivion turned his head. “…Why’s he saying hello?”

"He heard you liked ponies-"

"Wait, WHAT?"

"Er… It says on your character reference-"

The man blushed, thudding his fist against the desk. “WHO THE HELL PUT THAT ON MY CHARACTER BIO?!” he yelled, flustered.

Smiler> Hmmm... How abaaaht both?

Smiler> Ice Bucke' challenge? Gee, I dunno if I 'ave any ice on me... Thee fnk da water from da water cooler would work?

That could work. Either that or we borrow some ice from the drink vendors. They’re bound to have plenty of it.

The pony looked at his hooves. "Hmmm... So I don't."

He then proceeds to shove his front hoof into the boy's mouth, not forcefully enough to cause any physical harm, but just enough so the the tip of the hoof was in the mouth. "This works, right?!" He shrilly asks, grinning like a maniac all the while.

"I dunno, mate," The Smiler sort of replied as he trotted over to the flustered man's desk. "But, yew know, there seem ter be a lot ov people who like ponies-"

A disembodied voice interrupted, "Smiler! What's all this yelling? I thought I told you not to bother everyone in sight!"

The pony cheerfully called back, "Hey! Oblivion! Rattle an' Hum quick! This bloke 'as da same name as you!"

The voice groaned, traveling closer to the room. "This had better be important..."  The door opened to reveal the owner of the voice...

Who happened to be an unamused grey pony wearing an orange tie.
