“I promise it was just a joke.” Paul said, smiling in return. He cautiously watched as Delilah worked on her spell. It was easy to see she had improved a lot while he had been out getting his powers stripped away. “That’s a lot better than what I can remember. At least you’ve been using your time wisely. I think I’ve gone rusty when it comes to magic.” He casually said, faking a smile on the hopes that she would not see through him.

“Well what do you mean? Have the tables turned? Are you meaning to tell me that I’m better than you now? Is this a dream?” She giggled, losing concentration in the process which caused the leaves rotating around them to fall. “What have you been doing with your time?” She asked, taking a hold of one of the leaves, playing with it absentmindedly . “Actually, don’t answer that. I have an idea though, can I channel you?”

And no, no rebellions, can’t afford them anymore unfortunately.” Paul joked, with a sigh as he looked down. It was definitely weird taking so freely to her, and even more so after she mentioned magic. “Really? Like what?” He asked, pretending to be curious.

Deli blankly stated at him as he joked but eventually a smile formed at the corner of her lips. “That’s a shame, you were always so good at letting your inner Napoleon take over.” She chuckled. “Perfect, here goes.” She grinned putting her hands up a bit. Delilah focused solely on some of the leaves around them. It wasn’t winter in the island but it seemed as if some of the trees kept up with seasons more than the weather. Quietly mumbling a chant, she watched as the began to levitate around in circles. “Told ya I’ve gotten good.”

“Same, not much to do after having explored seventy five percent of the island, though.” He commented, before looking over at the cover of his book. “Yes, it is, reminds me of home back when all we did was start socio-political rebellions.” He chuckled, shaking his head, none of that mattered anymore. Her question brought a smile to his face, reminding him of the old Delilah he used to know, the one he knew now hated him. “Go ahead, no need to ask.”

Delilah nodded, "why am I not surprised?" She said, looming around her surrounding. "Are you trying to start a rebellion here? Or do you just really miss France that much?" She giggled, sitting down next to him. "I haven't explored but I've learned some new magic tricks."

The familiar, melodic voice sounded distant at first but when he glanced up and came face to face with her he quickly placed down the book and smiled. “Del… lilah, I’m fine, you?” He replied with a smile. He didn’t know how to really react or what to say, especially after their last meeting. Paul had tried his hardest to keep to himself and try to give her that space she requested but there she was standing in front of him now.

“I’ve been good, just living life, or trying.” She responded awkwardly, looking over at his book. “You are reading that again? I bet my cat it is relaxing after that crazy storm.” She said quietly. The storm had only affected her once and it had been painful to have hallucinations of her worst fears. It was those hallucinations though that pushed her towards talking to him. She didn’t want to live keeping in all that anger towards him. “Um, can I sit?”

"You singing Potter stuff brings memories of home." Deli sighed as she reminisced. "You look Harry a bit, did you know that?"
