🦋 please read

it has come to my attention that some things may be misinterpreted in my fanfic Foreplay (im re-reading it) and although i have already adressed these things briefly, here is the extended version:

1. i am editing Foreplay because i wrote it when i was around 17 at which age i romanticised kidnapping and other abusive behaviour; now with 20 years of age i am realising how incredibly wrong i was back then and how my writings portrayed abuse (of any form) as a good thing which is never the case

2. yes, Foreplay still contains many parts with abusive behaviour but now i can portray it as it really is - traumatic and terrifying; in this fanfic however Y/N isn’t as afraid as someone else would be because of her past experiences (no spoilers, in case you still haven’t read it shame on you) so her behaviour isn’t stereotypical (aka Stockholm syndrome); if Stockholm syndrome happens at some point i will portray it as a sickness, because it isn’t a positive or normal thing 

3. i know the plot itself may seem cringe, believe me i think of it like that sometimes too, but that’s why im editing the fanfic and making the plot stand out from the usual mantra ‘she got kidnapped by a gang and fell in love’ (not shading people who write such works, it is a guilty pleasure of mine i admit, but i want something different for my writing)

i think that’s all i wanted to say lmao what a rant, but a necessary one
