A set of these cards came my way one day, suddenly rekindling my interest in Star Wars after a period of drought. Summer of 1993. I remember the sun reflecting off the glittery packages as they were lying on our garden table. (Such are the things I remember.) The series acquainted me with Ralph McQuarrie, and many other artists. It’s where I first learned the word “Sith” (on the back of Vader’s card, he was referred to as a “Lord of the Sith”). Looking at these images, I can almost feel the hot summer sun burning, right in the middle of March.

Commander Cody cracks me up sometimes because you look at him in screenshots from the show and like. This man has no fancy additions to his armor besides his antennae and that visor. By all sense and order when it comes to clone armor and design practices, he should probably have kamas OR pauldrons OR... something. Idk.

But he doesn't. He's literally just a guy.

I guess he's got the jetpack but like. I barely even count that.

It's just so FUNNY to me especially when you look at fanon depictions of him, or even compare him to canon ARCs and he's just a fucking twig. This man roundhouse kicks droids for fun, and he's just out here in bare basic armor with some upgraded wifi attachments.
