Something from our Hobbit AU story: Leanna and Sven were traveling around Mirkwood via the Forest River, when she begged Sven to stop because she saw an ill Huorn on the forest’s edge. Upon feeling the tree, she is bitten by one of the Mirkwood spiders. 

Sven travels hastily from there all the way to Laketown where Estilil, (her adopted mother) is and begs her to help, exhausted with emotion and from travel. Of course, this is the first time Estilil has seen both Sven and Leanna in ages, and is definitely thrown back by their sudden presence.
