     (( Hey y’all! I don’t like making posts like this, but I’ve noticed I keep getting followers who ship-shame and police others’ interests in fictional content, and while I do my best to block them, so no one has to interact with anyone who may post things that they don’t want to see, I’m beginning to get very frustrated. This was already stated in my rules document, but I feel the need to repeat myself here: I do not want to interact with ship-shamers. ))

Stuff kids on tumblr better relearn

1. You are responsible for your own media experience. 

2. There is such a thing as a healthy level of avoidance towards topics that make you feel unwell or even (in a real-life clinical definition of the term) trigger you - but you are the one to actively take care of what you view.

3. Avoiding does not mean policing others.

4. You have no right to tell artists to censor themselves - you may criticize what others do, you may dislike it, that’s fine - but actively asking for censorship when you could easily unfollow or block a person just makes you look incompetent in your use of the internet.

5. Do not give people on tumblr or /any/ website the responsibility for your emotional well-being. Because these people do not even know you so no, you have no right to ask them to take care of you.

     Kr’lo looked at Karis with narrowed eyes, their weight shifting from one leg to the other and the twitch of their tail ever so slight. Their four ears laid back against the sides of their head, and for a moment, they appeared as little more than prey caught in a desperate situation. The heavy tension stayed, even as Kr’lo broke the silence.     “You don’t — you have no right to ask me that,” they responded with a hiss. The twitching of their tail grew into a violent thrashing as they continued on with their reply. “After everything I’ve been through, everything he has been through, after everything you and your order have done! No one asked us why we were hurt before the war started! None of you cared enough to ask! You don’t get to ask now!”

     They thrust an arm forward to grab at Karis’ top and yank her closer, disregarding the direct danger they were putting themself in by doing so. “I lived through my first partner’s death. I mourned his passing, grieved for the part of my spirit he took with him. And just when I thought everything was going to get better, your war came to my homeworld. If your precious Republic had simply acknowledged others’ grievances, we all would have been spared the pain of war. The pain of Grievous.”
