I really don't think I'll ever understand what happened with the creepypasta fandom post 2020, why does everyone care about realism now? I understand it's fun to think of these characters as they'd actually be instead of what they are in a fandom sense but just because you enjoy one thing does not mean you have to shit on someone else for enjoying the opposite.

Creativity doesn't have a limit! If you want to draw or enjoy jeff the killer as a 30 or 40 something year old grown man go ahead!!! But don't rain on someone else's parade because they prefer the nostalgia of him being a teenager or in his early 20s and lives at the creepypasta mansion and whatever

i hate how "being a girl's girl" has replaced feminism. I hate that enforced conformity has replaced genuine compassion for and solidarity with other women. I hate how women call each other "pick me's" for not conforming to femininity or for daring to critique something other women like. I hate how we just keep finding new socially acceptable ways to bully other women for being unattractive or outspoken or difficult or complicated or weird or ambitious or for not performing femininity. I hate those front facing camera "comedians" whose whole thing is making up a straw-woman to make fun of. I hate the obsession with "girlhood" and clinging to being a girl instead of a woman. i hate "the girl version of the roman empire" and "girlhood" and it's just consumerism and I hate the characterised of girlhood as passivity, niceness, sweetness, helplessness and frivolity and I hate the revival of gender essentialism even as a joke!!!

yea sure brenda, let’s yet again diss teenage fems and call them ‘cringe.’ that’s neeeeever been done before!

let a longtime fan tell you some history: nearly all those characters you’re gonna make a ‘mature’, ‘adult’ series about? they were created on deviantart and wattpad by the same kids who drew/consumed those ‘anime characters’ you’re now guffawing at!

the creepypasta fandom is inherently a cringe one, built on edgy teens listening to too much p!atd and writing fun little stories. given the fact ive been trapped here (affectionately) for now a decade, it’s obvious that i (and many others) love it for what it is.

if you can’t respect the fandom, or you’re ashamed of where it came from— maybe just don’t bother pretending you’re take on the creepypasta characters is for long time fans. it’s not.

just make something separate and original, or start putting some respect on the characters (and fans) you’re bashing.
