My name is Briar Rose McCutcheon and I was born the day the bombs fell in Vault 76. My mother was a West Virginia Park Ranger, and an expert in Ecology which is why Vault-Tec found her valuable enough to place in Vault 76. My father died in a mining accident a few months before my birth. She taught me everything she knew while I was growing up in the vault, she was always so excited for Reclamation Day. Sadly, my mother was one of the ones to die before Reclamation Day arrived. So here I am, October 2102, out in the world with hand-me-down Park Ranger credentials, surviving what’s left of the state my mother loved so much. It’s beautiful even with the mutated flora and fauna.
