I am not opposed to doing Dracula origin stories, my problem is that they all seemed to be focused on what led to it and not the transformation itself

The novel implies that Dracula may have used magic to make himself a vampire. And whether he did or whether he used his arcane knowledge to find a vampire and get himself bit, what the hell was that like?

What if he did magic himself into vampirism? Did vampires even exist in this world before he did that? Did he actually understand what he was doing? Did he go into it with the full knowledge that he was going to become an immortal shapeshifter who consumes blood? Was it all instinctual once he turned? Or did he have to stumble through learning these things, and eventually realized blood was the only thing that stayed down anymore?

If he can't change shape in the day, did he always know that or did he spend a very stressful day losing his shit in bat form because he thought he was stuck that way forever?

In fact how did he even learn he could shapeshift, was he putting effort into it, or did he just see some wolves one day and be like "well they're having a good time" and then suddenly he was quadrupedal

Christmas as a cultural icon is starting to get really dystopian in a climate sense, december has historically been a time of year in which there would be snow in a significant portion of europe and north america, and the fact that its not even icy this time of year and all the christmas songs and decorations reference a time of year that will likely never exist in the same way again in my life time is so strange.

Back in 2017 I signed up for one of the Cards Against Humanity sillies and did their Cards Against Humanity Saves America. Basically they were like fuck Tr*mp and his border wall and used the funds from the campaign to buy land and to make all 150,000 contributors part owners of said land across the US/Mexico border.

It was fun and silly and I got a little certificate.

Today I got an email that Elon Musk illegally annexed that land for SpaceX and that CAH are suing him over it. So possibly I’ll get like $100 if they manage to win a lawsuit and stick it to Musk. It’s like even more bang for my original buck.
