I would like to see more child-free-by-choice and ace/aro solidarity. Like if you just substitute "romantic relationship" or "sex" with "kids" the conversations are pretty much the same. In all cases, people assume you should want x, are only having a phase or pretending to not want x, your life will never be complete until you have x, and that something is wrong with you if you genuinely aren't interested in x. Also, we get all the same annoying family dinner comments.
"So when can we expect grandkids/In-laws?"
"You say you don't want it now, but trust me that'll change."
"Who's going to take care of you when you're older?"

You should be able to say “don’t touch me” to anyone ever in any context and not have it be considered in the realm of surprising or insulting imho if we ever needed to normalize something it’s this

all articles about tumblr’s “decline” boil down to 2 things: you can’t get famous on here and you can’t make money on here. And they don’t get that that’s why we like it here.

In my first year university course there was a class I remember as being mandatory (at least for English majors) about fallacies and biases in writing. And this prof was all about reading the whole article before you formed your argument. That was his whole thing. You know measure twice cut once he was read twice respond once. He stressed this so much that on our final exam (which was two long form essay questions and a few short answer questions) that I decided to read the WHOLE exam booklet before I grabbed my pen.
Turns out that is what he wanted. The final page, the final question, informed the student that if they wrote 1. Their name, 2. Their student number 3. Their favourite fallacy, and wait for 30 minutes so they don't arouse suspicion, you will literally be given 100 percent for the exam WORTH 40 PERCENT OF YOUR GRADE.
I think about it to this day. The prof literally saw the "reading comprehension on this site is piss poor" and said I can fix them

Get yourself a fabric store that will light your fabric on fire for you
No but legit I asked what the fiber content of something was and the guy didn’t know so he cut a chunk off and lit it on fire and felt the ashes and was like. Yeah this is mostly cotton with a lil bit of silk. And that was the moment I knew. This is it. This is the fabric store for me. Also that guy is marriage material. Not for me but damn some person is gonna be so happy with him.

I really can't wrap my head around why the belief that commenting chapters or stories that have been posted some months of years ago might be a bother to the writers is so persistent in fandom.
I'm genuinely happy every time a reader takes a few minutes of their time to write a comment, even more so if they comment on a story that never got a lot of love to begin with.
And if it's an older story I'm happy to learn that it still brings its readers some joy.
Dear readers, please never think that we writers aren't interested in reading your comments no matter what. Every comment is valuable to us. Stories don't have an expiration date.

Prime has a live channel that just runs leverage 24/7 and it has become my go to background show (I've already seen every episode multiple times). I just got to the episode where Hardison and Elliot are supposed to deliver a file but get sidetracked by police business because their covers were too good.

“In 1404, King Taejong fell from his horse during a hunting expedition. Embarrassed, looking to his left and right, he commanded, “Do not let the historian find out about this.” To his disappointment, the historian accompanying the hunting party included these words in the annals, in addition to a description of the king’s fall.“
LMFAOOOOOO rip to that guy
