Double Character Assassination

Book!Hermione has an almost pathological fear of failure. She wants to accomplish everything perfectly and by herself, and remain in control all the time. Movie!Hermione is the perfection she wishes she could be.

Book!Ron has a huge inferiority complex. He worries that he has no real accomplishments or valuable skills, and that his friends don’t really like or need him. Movie!Ron is the failure he fears he could be.

I think one of the most depressing things about being a fan of something on this site is going into the tags, and finding hate. As most of you know, Emma Watson has become a spokeswoman for the U.N. Which I’m sure fans of hers are really excited about, and they have every right to be happy.

My headcanon in light of new short story:

Is that as much as Ron loved and was good at being an auror, he valued his family more. George got super busy and wanted more time to spend with his family and missed having a partner. Hermione wanted Ron to have a safer job because she got super anxious every time he was on a mission. She didn’t want that to weigh on her or their kids. She already had enough stress from her job. Plus the joke shop paid a lot more than being an auror and Ron wanted his kids to want for nothing. So Ron agreed to work with George. Before going to the store he packs lunches for Hermione and the kids and is home to start their homework with them (they go to muggle school before Hogwarts) and start dinner. The harder homework and dishes he leaves for Hermione. He often visits Hermione at the Ministry on their lunch hour ;) they both read stories to them before bed. And Ron is known for playing tea party with Rose and wearing silly costumes to play along. And he teaches Hugo quidditch and makes him a Chudley Canons fan from birth.
