Ohhhhh. That totally explains it all.
http://fashionista.com/2014/08/plus-size-women-problems
this just in: the problem with plus size fashion is that plus size women are too mean and critical and full of self-loathing. hey guys, the only thing holding us back is ourselves. if we weren’t so NEGATIVE, we could be in the same place we were years ago and gratefully accepting polyester crumbs. quotes amazing sources like ‘an anonymous blogger.’

Gwynnie Bee
Has anyone given Gwynnie Bee a try? I recently started the trial for their service and I'm really excited! Got my first package today and if think it's really going to help me step outside of my comfort zone (since my brain automatically assumes that as a fatty I need to be wearing dark colors and muted patterns). I love that you can choose to pay for and keep items you really love. I also love that this will enable me to try out all new clothes and wardrobe without forking over a lot of money. The one thing I wish was different is I wish I could order my closet like a Netflix queue. Because I found a LOT of cute stuff, but it wasn't summer appropriate so I had to put them on hold so I didn't get a sweater dress in 90F weather.

How often have you been shopping and you come across something that is just PERFECT, but does not go up to your size? Over 60% of American women wear a size 14 or above, but only 17% of clothing sold is 14 & up. That is a ridiculous disparity.
Moreover, when some brands move into plus (ahem H&M), they throw their signature trendy looks by the wayside in favor of flowy dark fabrics that they think “work” for plus sizes. That is crap. Plus size women want color, print, and structure. Moreover, we want variety. A group this numerous cannot be a monolith, and since style is such a personal thing, we all have different tastes. I want #plussizeplease to be a way to showcase the demand for styles we’d buy and rock, and all the money brands are forfeiting by refusing to expand their sizes.
So here’s how to use it:
1) Snap a picture of a garment you love but does not come in your size. Include the brand and price, tagging the company if possible. For example, I am in love with this Zara marble print dress. I would have purchased it yesterday if it went above a size L. My tweet would be:
“.@Zara marble print sheath, $59. I’d buy it right now if it came in my size. #plussizeplease”
2) Use it on any social media – Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest… even Facebook supports hashtags now.
3) Tag anything you’d purchase, whether in store or online.
4) Feel free to include the size range it comes in and/or the size you think you’d need. Sizing can be tricky, so this is definitely not required.
5) Tell your friends! I don’t just want this to be a blogger thing – I want all women who wear size 14 and up to show their purchasing power and share styles they love. Let’s be unignorable!

why i hate shopping for plus size clothes
Clothing designers: listen fatty, you clearly don't give a shit about yourself so why not wear this burlap sack (available in leopard print) with the word 'diva' across the front in glitter. that's good enough for you, fatty. right? oh and that sack is like $40 more than regular clothes bc clearly your fat ass has money bc you eat so much. ps we hate you

I love her style so much! I wish I had her confidence!
Hey, girls! I congratulate all of you on the International Women’s Day!
I protest against the standards, and I want to prove to everyone, including herself, that plus size women can and should be beautiful. You can support me and become my reader http://www.queen-plus.com/

Email sent. This is despicable.
My image has been stolen and being used on Facebook diet ads for a company called Venus Factor. These ads are running throughout Facebook from more sources that I can report and have removed. My coworkers, friends and family are seeing these ads pop up. The company won’t help me on Facebook and told me to email them more, I already emailed them twice. So let’s send them some email!
Tell them why we won’t stand to have our image stolen for the profit of diet companies.
Fatties roll out!

So the pictures aren't great (I really need to get the remote for my camera working so that it will focus properly), but I was too impatient to wait before posting these pictures. (Though I will try to retake later on so that you all can get a better view of the clothes. The clothes pictured here are a combination of my own items (purple shirt) and two different Re/Dress purchases.
The first few pictures highlight my recent experience with their (fantastic) flash sale at the end of February. I just happened to be on Facebook at the right time to see their post and snag a pair of red teggings, an adorable navy top with pink polka dots, and the fantastic geometric-patterned black-and-white skirt.
The order shipped for a fraction of what I expected and came so quickly. And on top of that, I opened the package to find a fun little surprise added in with my purchases --earrings and a lovely handwritten note! (Thank you, Erin!) It's touches like these that really seal the deal when it comes to being a loyal customer. I can't imagine shopping anywhere else these days.
Alright, back to the clothes. Last two items to mention were purchased at their recent Galentine's Day event (so much fun. SO. MUCH. FUN.). I'd been eyeing the Hellbunny crinolines since my first visit to Re/Dress and the navy blue one was the last available so I grabbed it up. For the photo, I actually paired it with an A-line black skirt I had (barely visible underneath the crinoline) as it is a bit see-through. Last but certainly not least is the fantastic cream lace top. It's actually an off-white tank and a matching lace top with short sleeves and a square collar. One of my favorite shirts right now. Makes me feel fun, flirty, and springy despite the frigid polar vortex weather we've been seeing in NEO lately.
The one issue I had was with sizing on the navy/pink shirt, but that's not a reflection on Re/Dress at all. I knew that it was going to be hit or miss as I was just at the top of the size range available and I wanted to take my chances. It is a bit snug across the bust, but not enough that it will stop me from wearing it! :)
Signing off now, but one last (HUGE) final thank you to Rachel, Erin and everyone at Re/Dress (I'm horrible at names, so I know I've got to be missing someone --so sorry!). You all make shopping a joy time and time again. As a fat woman, this is such a rare experience and I am so thrilled that you are in the NEO area. I will be back. Again. And again.
And if you happen to see anything that is May/June wedding appropriate in a 4x, let me know! ;)
